anyone lose interest in Pandora? Regrets?

I have never gotten into them. I think a big part of the appeal is the actual shopping for the beads. I was buying a charm for my sister in law. I kind of wondered if I should because I thought what if she isn't into anymore? I have to get gifts for her for Christmas, Mother's Day and occasionally other things so I really struggle with ideas of what to get her. So we were in Puerto Rico and several places had them in addition to a freestanding store of their own. The place was crowded so I guess they do well. But I get the feeling the shopping for the item is part of the thrill?

i'm not a Pandora or bead person either. I rather invest my money all at once into one item. never been a fan of add on jewellery....

my old company I used to work for I would go to the stores to provide marketing materials etc...and they would have Pandora- the sales associates HATE it. people would spend 1 to 2 hours picking out 1 bead....all for a $50.00 sale. they did really well with it because people love it! but it was funny watching the SA's twitch when someone asked to see some beads. :roflmfao:

Totally know this feeling in my work! I don't mind when it's not busy obviously but it's when people stand and debate for ages over which one to get then get ONE charm when there are people wanting much more that I could be dealing with...:pout:

:roflmfao: exactly! I've seen sales associates have to tell someone looking at a 20k diamond ring they'll be right with them and lose the sale because the Pandora took too long....

I know we took about an hour and spent about $100, I think.

This is so funny and true! Back in college I worked at pandora....when it first became big out here in the states....and I cannot tell you how many times this scenario played out and sometimes you'd spend hours with someone and they wouldn't buy anything or return it within days... It was really aggravating tbh ....I understand the process of electing charms is long lol which is why none of us ever took it out on customers but it was really annoying....

Do have a silver charm bracelet with the basic charms which came with it (a few spacer beads, crystal beads, silver beads and central heart) but have no intention of adding anything else to it - I tried and hated the non-symmetry, extra weight, cumbersome nature and non-uniform look.

I'm totally with you ^^^. I have bought and sold so much Pandora over the years, but never really got into the look of the full bracelets with a whole bunch of mismatched antiqued beads. Seem to look great on others but not me!

Now I'm down to two bracelets that I like to wear with the double clips so it just looks like a very symmetrical, simple bracelet. Have two of each bead so I can put them on symmetrically if I want. And do enjoy threading them on cords to wear as a necklace occasionally. IMHO, the attraction of Pandora isn't about making it "personal", but the multi-functionality of wearing different looks.

Oh the regrets! Someday I regret buying them then other sunny day I enjoy them.
I have one bracelet with5 charms on related to my son first years so I am fond of the memories but I rarely wear it nowadays, but I found it safe for the park as I would not be panicking to lose them.
Surely not adding any charms, I wasted money with I could have spent on gold jewellery.
I do wear the ring a lot. And the pink leather bracelet I like as it is so subtle and girly

i love charm bracelets. but i never liked Pandora, Trollbeads etc. Couldnt wrap my head around the idea that all mycharms would have holes in them. But i have bought my first Pandora in Aug 2012. Its not about 3 charms away from being full + i have a half completed Trollbeads bracelet. I don't see myself being done or bored with them anytime soon. :)

I have a friend who had one, it was quite fun when she first started. After she collected a number, the novelty wore off and she decided to spend the money on different pieces rather than charms. I think I would have pretty much been the same way.

I find it frustrating, because I want a finished bracelet. But I only like adding to it if it's some sort of meaningful occasion or reason, I don't want to buy a bead just to fill it up. Also, I have a couple of gold beads, which means I'd ideally have a pattern of them. Either way, a full bracelet is a lot of money. And I could buy... In a sense, nicer? pieces, with the money it costs.

That being said, I love my bracelet, and many of the charms were presents. I do wear it a lot. However, I doubt I will get another once I fill this one.

I have my mother's charm bracelets and I have a few traditional charm bracelets of my own. I told my husband not to get me Pandora because I had so many silver charm bracelets. I am so glad he didn't because I rarely see anyone wearing their beaded bracelets anymore. I did make one on the website once and was shocked at the cost.
