Isn't that the truth? More beauty, lesser price (I know some may disagree, but maybe not on this thread)

Its silicon carbide. Found in stars!I have a travel piece that I take with me...I'll post a picture. I think moissanite is just gorgeous...it's all carbon....just not marketed as successfully as DeBeers would like us to believe.
I am too afraid of losing a real diamond stud.I wouldn't mind having a pair of Moissanite stud earrings.
I'd love to hear about less expensive, reliable sources for moissanite. I'm thinking I might pick up a pair of earrings for my MIL. I have a docride pair set in 14kwg martinis and I'd like to get MIL a similar size.
Here are my earrings next to my ering (F/Ex/VS2). You can see that my moissy's are not as white close up, and neither are as well cut. This would bother me on a ring I had to look at all the time, but for earrings, I don't mind. They still sparkle like mad.

I have a solitaire that was purchased online more than ten years ago. It doesn't sparkle like a diamond and has a milky slight green tinge. I really don't like it and haven't worn it much. It was a disappointing purchase for sure.
Oh that’s another dream ring of mine: OEC! Yummy! My stone that is about a 2 carat equivalent, was purchased from Charles & Colvard at least 10 years ago and I think even though the sparkle is amazing, the color on the newer stones is very much improved. I love that I can have a beautiful replacement when we travel around and I know that a CZ wouldn't be near as clear or have as much sparkle. I was tossing around getting an old european cut because from what I have seen, they are gorgeous.
