Arts & Crafts Anyone going to Beadfest "Philadelphia" August 21 - 23?

Tix are kind of expensive... do you think it's like other expos where they hand out lots of free stuff or will it mostly be vendors who are selling stuff?

I'm getting in for free since my sister is taking classes, and they give free guest passes along with her registration. There aren't any freebies here, purely sales but the prices are really good if you are heavily into lapidary.

admission doesn't seem that expensive. $10 for one day or $14 for all 3 and you can get a coupon for $2 off.

You're right, $10 isn't expensive. It's just the principle of it, that you're paying to shop. I've been to expos where I had to pay to get in, but there were lots of freebies, so it was worth it.

Like I mentioned before, if you are really into jewelry making the savings on supplies is worth the entry. Owners of bead stores go there to purchase inventory for their stores, since you can actually handle the product before you buy. I'm a "feel" shopper, so buying this type of stuff online ends up in dissapointment.
