m_l_p, though I have since become a frequent wearer of scarves, I didn't use to be, even though I adored H scarves. For that reason I framed a couple as an experiment and fell in love with the results. I now have several and am attaching photos - which are also somewhere in the Hermes as Art thread.

The Fixation is a terrifically useful, contemporary way to frame, though I do it old school. Mine are all in slim gold frames, framed with UV plex and archival supplies to protect the silks. in theory, I should be able to unframe and wear these scarves, though after investing what I've invested, I wouldn't...

Graycat: stunning art collection !!! Thanks for giving some ideas of home decoration with my loving scarves.

These look absolutely gorgeous, especially the 3 in the first photo.

The Fixation (or as I call it "the hanging thingie") is the best decorating item in our home. We bought one a while back when we found out about them. I own way too many scarves and this is a way for us to enjoy them. We rotate them on a regular basis.
In fact, when we were at the boutique Saturday, they were using the Fixation rather than the system with the surgical steel pins. Now, if we could only find a light box to put behind the scarves...

graycat, love your collection!! Very inspiring :tender: Love your China too!

I am intending to DIY with my newly acquired 42s which are on their way, white frame and magnets, will update again if successful :smile1:

OB, kashmira, classictwist, baggiegirl,chkpfbeliever,ali-bagpuss, lulilu and dreamdoll - thank you all so much for your kind words! :flowers: H scarves are truly little works of art, so I think it makes perfect sense to display them. A girl can only wear so many - it's a great way to live with these gorgeous little textiles that we all adore so much.

I think next up in my framing queue is one of these Carpe Diems - one of my all-time fave designs. I'm thinking the blue one - which I just recently acquired from another tPFer. I've had the bright one sitting around for awhile - think I'll keep that one for wearing...

Gorgeous scarves GrayCat. I had a go at framing a pochette myself. The frame is from Ikea but it is hanging in a spot where there is no direct sunshine. I stitched the scarf carefully under the hem to acid free backing paper and had a mount cut from my local framer and here is the result. Apologies for the quality of the pic :shame:

Beautiful! I agree about the little works of art, what better way to appreciate them than up on the walls ;)

From what I understand, it's better not to have a direct source of light on the scarves as they will cause them to fade.
