Anyone familiar with Denim of Virtue sizing?

Can anyone that owns a pair of Denim of Virtue jeans tell me how the sizing runs? I found a great pair on *bay, but I'm not sure if the sizing is standard with other brands. The seller told me how she did the measurement on the jeans and I compared them to the jeans I own and it seems the same, but I'm still unsure.

How do they compare to seven, citizens, true religion, rock & republic etc???

I normally wear 28s in Sevens or COHs, and ordered a 28 on ebay of Denim of Virtues...I swam in them! They didn't particularly fit very well either; like they were real loose in the hips but tight in the legs...kinda unflattering. Could have just been my style though.
