No one is suggesting that someone actually be thrown off a cliff. That's part of the joke.

Because it was funny. You missed the joke, which was about what to do (comically, not actually--duh) with an asshat. Why are people laughing at this image?
What's wrong with "cheese and rice"? HUH? Maybe that's all that some people can afford.Oh for "cheese and rice" lets move on here. . .good gravy what is the world turning into now days - everything is not intended to be so personal.
The banned OP's posts and attitude just reminded me of that snobby behaviour on looking down on people she thinks who aren't as rich as herself and laugh about it . As though we all wanna be like her. Not much different of a attitude to the guy above in the news article. Just a sad state of our society. She insults people with money that are humble as well as disrespecting the less fortunate. And then makes out she some philanthropist! Just gives people who love their designer stuff a bad reputation.
I must admit that silly 'madam' really did hit a raw nerve with me. In honestly when I started thinking about getting into LV. A good part of it played on my conscience . I didnt want people to think I'm a snobby b**tch now, made it in life and want to show off. Especially since in the begining I experienced people being less friendly when wearing LV. I'd wear luxury brands like Rolex and Cartier but its hideable and discreet, Gucci bags too. But LV on the other hand seems to divides people assumption on the wearer I find sometimes. I'm okay about it now. I'll never go back being discreet for the sake of it. I wear my LV with pride because I love the bags and the brand. Here’s the thing, though - the posts were BS. She pretty clearly did not have what she claimed she had. She couldn’t spell the name of the bag and she doesn’t know how much it costs and she never managed to wander over to the H subforum - because I’m sure she either felt intimidated or knew she would be figured out and called on it fairly quickly, as @jellyv did so much more cleverly than I would have.
I don’t own any LV but some of their designs are just phenomenal - really super-tempting!!! - and I appreciate what they do from a design perspective. DH and I wandered into the boutique last week and we saw some really awesome evening bags - trompe l’oleil (sp? [emoji51]) Trunk designs...They’re sorta percolating in the back of my brain right now....and my very dearest friend who owns a few Birkins (including a gator B35 [emoji177]) also loves and enjoys her LV. There’s nothing wrong with any of it. It’s fun, it’s pretty, its a bag, Just enjoy! Embarrassed??? Why??? Anyone with any class or self-esteem wouldn’t make anyone feel anything for not ‘having’ whatever-it-is....and the people who do aren’t worth anyone’s time. [emoji173]️[emoji173]️[emoji173]️
I think that the “judging” depends on how you carry your luxury items. If you’re running around telling everyone with in hearing range about how you purchased X, how many luxe items you have (ahemmm the madam, ahemmmm), and how much X item cost, and flashing said item under everyone’s nose, then yes, your probably going to judged negatively; not because of what you have but your attitude about what you have. I deserve vs I’m fortunate. A bit of humility, common sense and tact go a long way. This thread and gifs were quite funny!
I started off with a mono Palermo as my first LV. I wasn’t embarrassed but I felt people would judge me as snobbish for carrying one.
I eventually moved into leather pieces to stay under the radar, as also for my type of work I didn’t want people to assume the worst.
Now I don’t care, I carry whatever I want and wherever I want. I’ve realized people will judge you no matter what, only you know the type of person you are and that’s all that matters.
So don’t be embarrassed, embrace your LV!

That being said, some folks are always going to be haters and those are the ones we should simply ignore.

In my world/field of work “judging” has nothing to do with all you listed and everything to do with what you’re carrying. It’s unfortunate, but I just ignore and not worry anymore.[/
Sorry you have to deal with that sweetie .Keep doing you and ignore those haters.
