Anyone else afraid of scratches so won't stack jewelry?

i love the look of stack but too chicken to do it myself. I mean I just accidentally dent my bracelet with my iphone charger (don't ask me how) and I freak out. i don't know if I can relax at all if I stack my bracelet. I'm hoping that one day I found the courage to stack my bracelets, until then I will wear my bracelet on my left hand and my watch on my right hand. :)

I wear a bracelet with my watch every day and I stack bracelets all the time. At the end of the day, the jewellery is there to be worn. That's their purpose so just enjoy them. As most of the lovely ladies here have said, life is too short. Wear yours in good health! :-)

I will not stack for this reason. I wear my jewelry and enjoy it but I avoid anything that would create additional wear on it. I take my jewelry off when I walk in the door at the end of the day and I wouldn't wear my jewelry in the shower or to bed.

I refuse to stack bracelets! I sometimes wear two necklaces but I don't feel like they take as much of a beating as bracelets and rings do anyway.
I don't really own enough nice jewellery to stack often anyway, but I still don't think I would since I am afraid of having one pieces breaking another or something like that. I wear my Pandora on my left arm and that is it for bracelets usually. I did, well still do, have an 8kt gold thin bangle that I used to wear on my right arm daily but I bent it way out of shape one day and am now too afraid to wear it again because I can't figure out how I managed to bend it that badly in the first place!

I don't even wear my diamond rings when I go to get my nails done because I don't want any of the gunk on them! Instead I wear my plain gold wedding band. I also take my jewelry off when I walk in the door!!!

Well said!

I used to be extremely scared of scratches until I realized even without stacking my bracelets get small scratches....now I stack a bunch and I learn to live my life without stressing about them! :)

I am the same. But I don't stack mainly because I don't like the look. I saw other people do it and they look fantastic! But somehow it just looks odd on me.

I agree! I see so many people wearing tons and tons of bracelets and I love that look but if I wear more than two I feel like I am overdoing it even though the people I am admiring have like 9 on with a watch.

If you really like the stacking look, you should definitely go for it - like the leather bracelet buffer you mentioned.

I tried stacking a few days after this post (bangle, link bracelet and onyx beads) and realised that I did not enjoy the clinking sounds and how one piece would always tuck under another. Plus it felt rather uncomfortable on me.

So have a go anyway, with perhaps a few pieces which you're not so worried about, or already have more scratches on!

I stack - today I have my watch on, my love a diamond tennis bracelet and a sapphire and diamond tennis bracelet
