Anybody getting bored with LV?

Not bored with LV, they still have great classic pieces I like.
But I was never restricted to one brand and have bags and accessoires from other brands. It is a personal choice, so you need to browse other brands to see it there is something speaking to you.

I for myself like Marc Jacobs (old stuff), Céline, Balenciaga, Mulberry, Gucci (some classic pieces, most are not my taste), Max Mara, APC, some Tory Burch pieces for instance. Just to name a few.

I am not bored with LV, but I have not been finding any handbags lately that I "must have". I love the company, it's quality and the pricing (compared to other companies) I do look several times a week at their handbags and love looking at them online. I imagine eventually that I will find one I love. I have MANY LV's. Also, I am not going into any store due to the pandemic and since I like to try them on before buying so it might be some time before I welcome a new LV into my home!!!!!.

Definitely not bored but I’m pretty content with my LV collection. That being said, there’s nothing that wildly jumps out at me from the current collection...

Same here. I’ve got one bag for each canvas print and an Epi leather bag...with coordinating SLGs. I also picked up a YSL pouch and Gucci belt bag. I think I am satisfied...for the year.

I just read through this resurrected thread and realised that I replied to it over ten years ago. :wtf::lol:

I guess I'm still not bored with LV. It is the only luxury brand that I have consistently loved since I was about 16, maybe younger, and I'm now 34. I bought my first item 12 years ago and I love my LV collection, and still love the brand in general. I have a few bags and accessories from other brands but I can't say that I love any of them as much as my LVs.
Omg! I didn’t even notice the date. I thought it was October 2020. Here I am liking a bunch of comments from 10 years ago! Hahaha.

I’m also looking at preloved slgs to have someone custom paint because I want some pops of fun and color. I love the vernis colors but I’ve been having terrible luck with pieces that have discoloration overall so that they don’t even look like the original color.

I am a little bored with LV at the moment for several reasons:

1. lot of trendy seasonal pieces with vivid prints released which are hard to incorporate into a wardrobe
2. Unable to keep up with price increases
3. LV s game of pre ordering everything new without even giving us a chance to look, feel and then decide
4. False hype of demand, while resellers get hold of hot items like in wholesale
All of these, but especially number 4 for me. I am tired of trying to chase after simple items that aren't LE because they are never in stock online or resellers have purchased them from stores and are marking them up to resell in Facebook groups, Instagram posts, or other avenues. Resellers marking up a key pouch by $100-150, mini pochette by $200, etc. If these greedy people would stop doing it, and/or buyers stopped paying these premium prices so that resellers stopped doing it, and/or LV actually was consistent in not allowing so many to skirt their rules and make multiple purchases of the same item, it would be easier to shop.

I would rather purchase from ANY brand (whether more or less expensive) that actually has items in stock and/or I didn't have to beg to make a purchase. Life is too short for these games.

The other reason is I am not going out as much as pre-COVID so don't feel like buying a lot of bags/slgs right now anyway. I haven't been using all that I currently own so why add more to the mix lol.

Sooo true! Agreed! LV’ restriction on buying just 12 slgs/bags annually affects just a common customer while VICs accounts are unlimited access.

i have noticed SAs treat differently if a customer buys RTW!
I still love the brand and some limited edition pieces are gorgeous! But little upset at the moment !!

Yes to the above two comments!! I still like LV but I’m so irritated that the prices keep increasing yet they do not allow us to buy online (everything is freaking “Call for availability” or “Out of stock”) unless we literally stalk the darned website 24/7. It’s just frustrating and I refuse to pay over retail for an item.

well LV changed a lot over time, I do love the designs, the quality and also the price is somehow okay! (Compared to Chanel, Hermès ...)
BUT the quality really gets more and more worse and the availability of products is so bad. I really don’t know when this actually happend? Like in 2018 you could shop normally LV and from beginning 2019 everything is almost sold out?
Sometimes I even questioning myself, is everything worth it? Stalking and paying for all that stuff? And then I’m thinking, well life is short.

My fear is - recently i think i have started buying more for the fun of chasing and buying a htf item .. instead of buying to enjoy the purchase ! And that is what LV wants ! Every one wants to be Hermes !

I find their "limited stock" shtick boring. I can go to Gucci, YSL or Dior and buy what I want, when I want it. And they'll bring it in, if it's not on hand. It's not fun when a LV collection comes out - like Game On, and it's all pre sold to resellers and special clients. I'm so over it. I have my LV collection and I'm happy with it as is. Don't feel the need to add to it.

Thats actually so true!
I’ve bought a XMAS charm when I was at the store, just because I knew it’s hard to find. I also got the victorine wallet, even tho I am owning Now 4 wallets ?!?! Now I need to sell 1-2 because of my craziness and hunting fun.
I also want a PA again even if I had one and sold it for 250€ in 2018. just bc it the fear it might get discounted. The funny thing is, LVs new strategy is working.
