I am considering the Fossil Sydney Shopper leather tote.. question: black or heritage blue? Which do you prefer (and why)? Thanks in advance for your input :)

I always vote for black, when given a choice. But, what colors are in your wardrobe? If you wear a lot of denim, I'd choose heritage blue. (I actually have the bright orange Sydney tote and LOVE it! Good luck with your decision.) It's such an awesome bag.

Thanks for your kind suggestion! I bought the black Sydney tote as it's a more classic colour, easily transferring from work to casual :) and I also realised I have two navy blue colour leather bags already (often attracted to this colour lol). Love this tote, can fit my chunky work folder easily without looking bulky and heavy! Thanks again!

Hooray and Congrats! Good choice. Enjoy! 😄

I just bought a light weight coated canvas bag and wallet from them. Normally I buy leather but I thought something fun for summer might work.

Very cute!!

I have a Canvas bag from the (Keyper Satchel in the quilted design) and I love it.
It is certainly a well made canvas bag, with leather detail, so I don't mind it not being all leather.

I bought a Fossil bag a couple of years ago on holiday and absolutely love it, it's a great casual weekend bag and I also use it on holidays as I can wear it across the body. Have taken a picture, it needs a bit of a clean however I have never babied it in anyway. Think Fossil definitely needs a sub forum! ImageUploadedByPurseForum1397391554.320270.jpg

Let's Roarrrr with this fabulous bag

I'm buying my first Fossil bag tomorrow, the Fossil Vintage Re-Issue Sling!

I've been looking for a minimalist casual, leather backpack, but the prices high end brands were asking for didn't make sense (even the non-leather options were priced crazily.) I came close to buying a Longchamp earlier this year, but ended up skipping it because the price was just too steep.

My new Vintage Re-issue Sling in black.

I've been admiring Fossil bags the last few months and was quite impressed with the new direction its leather goods is taking. I love Fossil's emphasis on the "less is more" minimalist look which reminds me of Celine and Coach, but is still able to maintain its own identity.

Last month, I bought a Marlow cross-body bag each for my mom and aunt (in Citrus and Flamingo Pink respectively) and they love it to bits! The leather is soft, thick yet still light, and I'm very happy with the overall quality (and the price!)

And now I finally found a Fossil bag I love! I find the men's selection a bit boring to be honest and never gave it a second look. However, I chanced upon this Vintage Re-issue Sling which I think is a very unisex style. I've been looking for a small leather backpack, but the prices the high-end luxury brands were asking didn't make sense! So when I saw this bag for just above $200, it was a no brainer.

The leather is very soft, thick and I think will definitely age well. It has a drawstring opening (which I love) and the interior has 2 open pockets and a zipper pocket. The drawstring straps can be worn backpack style, slung over one shoulder, or close to the body cross-body style. It's a great alternative to my other bags (on days I want to carry just the essentials) and this Fossil bag will suffice until I get my hands on a Mini Pandora!

Here are the pics. Modelling shots coming soon. ;)

After 3 days of using my Vintage Re-issue Sling, trying it both as a backpack and cross-body, I realised it gets a bit tiresome retrieving my things. I tried just slinging it over my shoulder as well, but it slips off after a while. However, I wasn't ready to give up on this bag (even though the feeling of regret was slowly creeping in.)

So I was experimenting with the straps and found a simple way to convert it into a bucket bag! Instead of using the straps backpack style (it's original purpose), I pulled out the straps from the left and right side. This pulls in the straps from the back (the backpack straps disappearing), creating 2 shoulder straps.

Now it sits comfortably on my shoulder and doesn't slip off, plus it's so easy to get in and out of the bag. I've always wanted a bucket bag as well, so I guess I finally got my wish.
