Thanks, babielovah for the information and this simply reinforces what I thought. It is no wonder that I am still having trouble with the USA H price increase.
Just read on the H belt thread that belt kits are approximately $535 in Madrid and I paid $870 for one a few weeks ago.

Also, I might be wrong but I think that all USA price increases are in place now.

Sounds like it's time for another European vacation for me!

Looks like the US won't see a price decrease, at least for Chanel.
Meanwhile, I heard through the grapevine that H may have a European price increase this fall, which would be in line with the point in this article about pricing discrepancies. The Euro drop has been farther and faster than anticipated.
For those of us hoping to score a (relative) bargain via a trip to Europe, it appears that time is running out on that opportunity.
Oh No. Monceau, do you know when in the fall? My trip is in September. The middle of September. Please let it be October.......

I'll be there in September, too!
Emphasis on "may" have an increase. I think it depends on how the Euro fares heading into the summer, and how sales are impacted in various markets.
I didn't think much of it until I read the Chanel article. H has more control over how they distribute inventory, since they only sell in their own boutiques and one or two other locations. Chanel has distribution throughout Saks, BG, NM, Bloomies, Nordstrom, etc.
H can shift more inventory to the US market, if they want, which would limit the ability to pick up a K or a B at euro prices.

The current Europe price (after 10% tax refund) is about 40-45% cheaper than US (after 8-9% sales tax). US is one of the most expensive country now. Even more than Japan. [emoji20]

Do you know how the prices in Japan compare to the prices in the US? The yen is weak now compared to the U.S., but do you know if the prices are more expensive in general?
