Any handheld bag fans?

You know, I think at the time I figured this out, I had decided that it was because having a support handle on both sides of the purse supported its weight better than a single-handled bag. Which may or may not be true. But honestly, after I recently carried a single-handled bag, I decided that was phooey. [emoji13]

Seriously though, I do like how bags that are built for hand carrying keep my shoulder from being weighted down. I tend to carry way too much with me, which often results in a sore shoulder for me if I don't have the right bag.

Love hearing what works well and why for other people in this thread! Gives me more excuses to think hard about handbags. [emoji16]

Thanks for explaining, seems logical.. i know a few of the single handled styles i have played about with in store seem well balanced despite appearing otherwise lol.

Yes, my bag is fairly heavy too, i never realized how just my phone alone was heavy.

I'm a fan of hobo type bags with a single strap. It's easy to carry in the crook of your arm or throw over your shoulder.

Huge fan here too but the handle has to be made properly and fit my hand comfortably, a strap (or straps) will do but I still prefer rolled or trad (corded).

I love the feel of bamboo handles on my BTH and shoppers and (apart from my Bold version that has a leather covered bamboo handle)but I'm also grateful for the extra straps

I love handheld bags! They look so lovely and sophisticated, whether carried in your hand or in the crook of the arm. I love dual handles, personally, since I like to open quickly without a flap.

It might not be the most convenient silhouette at times, but I am a fan of handheld bags. My shoulders used to hurt which shoulder bags and i would walk unevenly. Any other fans?
I adore handheld bags, as it is such a ladylike way to carry a bag, it has to have short handles so it's easier to grab and go. I might get tired after a while of carrying it by hand all day so a shoulder option along with it is a better idea.

I love handheld bags and agree with all who said they look so ladylike. I work in an office, so it's easy for me to carry a handheld bag when I'm just going from the car to my desk, but my ideal bag has a single top handle and a detachable crossbody strap.

A good example is the Coach Madison Sadie (I'm not so familiar with their naming conventions, so my apologies if I got that wrong). I have a small one, and it looks so polished and pretty with a dress, but it doesn't look odd as a crossbody for the times I want a more convenient carrying option.
