Any guesses or speculation for Hedi’s 1st collection?

You know, I hate that new logo so much. Saying you based the design on one from the Sixties means nothing. In the sixties Brand Logos didn't utilize radical or interesting designs. Most brands utilized a variation on Times new roman, Sans Serif, Arial, what have you. So saying you found the logo in the archives really means nothin; like saying . In an age where brand identity is key, Why change a logo to make it look like Chanel's, YSL's, Michael Kors', Burberry, Off-White, Fendi, Givenchy, etc. I understand making your mark at a fashion house, but sometimes, when I see a designer do something this radical, it's like he or she is overcompensating for something.

The bag looks well made, and the leather looks great.

Food for thought:

Phoebe Philo changed the logo too. It’s a way to wipe the slate clean to build something new, free of the associations of the past work. Regardless, Balenciaga and YSL still use those old logos on their handbags, and Burberry is still using their classic check pattern.

Hedi goes back to the past to re-set and start over, as seen here:

It's gorgeous! Where in Vancouver did you find it? A official Celine store? Or a store located in a mall or so? Sorry english is not my first language so I don't know what they are called. Haha.

I really prefer SHW over GHW, I wish more colors (and bags in general) were available with silver hardware! I was going for a black bag as my next purchase as I don't have any black designer bags (and that is such a safe choice that goes with everything) but if I could find this one in the right size I might go for the blue instead just because of the silver hardware! Did in come in different sizes in this color combo?

And such a beautiful shade of silver that is! And blue! Is it as dark as in the pictures IRL too?

In my opinion, with social media, Voguerunway, WWD, and countless other sources out there, a change of Logo doesn't really do anything, People will still be able to go online and view previous collections by Philo, or Stefano, or Ghesquière and compare the work of predecessors to the current designer. In my opinion the clothing is the way to shed any associations of the past.
Look at a brand like Gucci, it's almost as if Frida didn't exist. Alessandro did nothing but design and look how popular Gucci is now. It's all about the clothes.

My whole point of changing a logo is, if you change it, make sure it stands out. It's all part of brand Identity. The only thing that Heidi is good at is brand Identity. He rigorously changes everything about a brand to ensure the identity is there. But what he's good at, he's also horrible at. I will use Loewe as an example. Jonathan Anderson changed the logo and font yes. But it doesn't look like any other brand. And that makes it stand out. If you look at the Celine instagram and just look at the photos posted, I'd honestly think it was Saint Laurent. It's old hat. Even the invitation for the new runway is a book of old clubs in Paris. Since when does Celine stand for clubs? I can understand YSL standing for that, but Celine?

I'll reserve judgement till I see the runway show. But it's really been there, done that right now.

I like the accent on the "e" it showed that this was a French house. Like Hermès.

I bought it at the celine boutique inside Nordstrom. The blue is so dark that it almost looks black (IRL), and paired with the silver; it’s just gorgeous! Not sure if this colour combo comes in other sizes though.

I just looked at this navy blue with silver hardware in Stockholm... i think there is a waiting list for that one.. it comes in all three sizes the SA said. Beautiful bag, thinking about maybe getting the middle size... micro its called?
Choosing between the belt bag and a Cabas Phantom in abyss or liqourice..
