Why is it I can’t ever find these great buys at TJMaxx?:crybaby: I admit I don’t stalk Frye, but they are a good deal more expensive than my Dooneys at high end retailers, otherwise they would be competing for space in my closet.
Does anyone know if Frye has annual sales like D&B?

They have a sale going on right now with a few bags listed. I'm not sure how long it is been going on, so there may have been more. If you sign up for their emai, I believe they give 10% off. There were certainly more sales around the holidays. Dillards ran a 30% off on January 1st. I follow their FB page, so you could also be alerted to their sales that way.

I stumbled upon the Frye Charlie Multi-Handle Tote... such a cool bag. There are small top handles, shoulder straps and a crossbody strap. The bar hinge on the handles is a unique design feature. The inside has a large zippered compartment with magnetic compartments on each side.

I placed an order but it will probably take another week to arrive (waiting impatiently).

I did recently purchase the Melissa hobo but returned it because I didn't like the color (slate). I do have that color in a pair of Frye boots that looks much better on the boots for some reason. Also, I found a Frye bag of that size to be heavy because of the thick leather. They are well made bags, and I think they would age well if you don't mind some scratches since they are supposed to look distressed. Having said that, Frye boots are the most comfortable that I have ever worn once you get them molded to your feet and they break in so they are easier to get on and off.
funny you say how comfortable Frye boots are. I know they're very popular but whenever I've tried them on they feel so hard and uncomfortable to me. Guess they have to be broken in.

That's a darn nice bag!

I found the various engineering boots to be the most comfortable right off with no break in. My other styles were much more comfortable after break in especially the tall Janes.

I've tried on new Frye boots and I even tried on a pair at a consignment shop that were in VG condition. Of course those would have been broken in on someone else's foot, not mine.
I have these Born boots that look something like Frye but are super comfortable for me.
haven't tried the engineering boots; I like something with a heel

Fryes are like cowboy boots, the leather is thick and requires breaking in. But that doesn’t mean they are going to be comfy for everyone. Depends on your arch, the shape of your foot and so on.

The engineers are softer leather so they don’t require the same degree of breaking

Just came this morning! Gorgeous, thick leather... the dark brown is so deep that it borders black. I’m impressed with the craftsmanship.

Does anyone know if Frye does Made for Outlet bags? I'm interested in a couple bags at Nordstrom Rack, but I don't want to buy them if they'll be lower quality leather than full priced bags!

I’m brand new to Frye, I got my first bag in Feb from Dillard’s on line & the bag was on sale. I got my second in April through Frye also on sale.
I’ve never heard of a Frye outlet, but again I am new to the brand. I have seen Frye bags on line at Nordstrom rack and from what I’ve seen they are the bags that were sold at Frye, just maybe discontinued colors.

I have seen Frye & Co at Macy’s before and I’m not sure if those are made for Macy’s only, as I didn’t see them on the Frye website.

Here is the first bag I got: Melissa Shoulder Bag in Cognac.

Here’s the second: Melissa Zip Crossbody in Sunflower.

I really like the brand and these bags.

I’d suggest to do a search for Frye bags and see if you can find the specific one you are looking for and where it’s been sold before. That’s all I can think of to ensure it’s a made for Frye bag and not an outlet. Good luck! Frye is awesome!
