I just received this one today, the Demi Hobo, and it is beautiful. The leather it's not as thick as some, and the bag doesn't feel as heavy as a Melissa hobo that I had returned because I wasn't crazy about the color (slate). Love the wrapped handle and other details. It also comes with a longer crossbody strap. Both straps are detachable.

Have any of you tried Apple garde and/or conditioner on your Frye bags? I got this Frye Ilana bag and I haven't used yet as I'm not sure how to properly protect. Any tips on caring for Frye bags appreciated!

Beautiful bag. Here's what I use, because I believe in using what the manufacturer recommends. I have used it on my boots and my new bags. I haven't tested the bags in a downpour, but I try not to do that anyway, LOL.

Since my frye bag is a brown/cognac color, I don't recall whether I treated it or not. But I've used Apple Garde on most of my bags and never had them darken or anything.
Pretty bag.

I love Frye. I have 2 bags (whiskey & banana) and around 10 pair of boots/shoes. I find their boots in multiple styles very very comfy, love them, but I have a couple pair of their shoes that are killing my feet - Must just be the wrong style for me.

I haven’t treated their bags/boots and they’ve been fine even after being rained on.

The stitching on your crossbody is Gorgeous! I would be a Frye-ista rather than a Dooney-ista if Frye wasn’t so pricey. The best I can do is accumulate a few Frye wallets, burt I adore their bags.

I have seen some good deals on Amazon. I actually got two pair of boots this past year at very good prices. I do have Prime. As long as you make sure who's selling such as direct from Amazon or even Zappos, you can get some good deals.

Thanks! I fell in love with this style bag (Ilana) and finally decided on this one because the pattern was so pretty. I got mine at Saks Off Fifth for something like 65% off full price. I've also seen the bags at Nordstrom Rack, too. So I think you could get for one about the same as some of the bags at the DB outlets (slightly under $100 to $150 range). I believe Frye also offers a 20% discount for students and seems to have 50% off sales a few times a year on their website.

The bags do not seem to be as popular as other brands so they don't seem to sell out as quickly (maybe certain colors but not the style completely).

Oooh—Saks Off Fifth I hadn’t thought about!
Regarding lack of popularity, perhaps because they (imho) mostly appear casual? That for me (plus the quality) is what makes them so attractive.

I've seen some Frye bags at TJ Maxx and they look very durable and rugged. There was a Frye saddle bag on clearance at TJ Maxx today for $49. I passed on it but maybe I'll pick it up if it's there tomorrow. I've seen them a lot at TJ Maxx lately. They're usually the same price as D&B and MK bags.

Why is it I can’t ever find these great buys at TJMaxx?:crybaby: I admit I don’t stalk Frye, but they are a good deal more expensive than my Dooneys at high end retailers, otherwise they would be competing for space in my closet.
Does anyone know if Frye has annual sales like D&B?
