Update, got the edition IV but don’t like the new grading system. Have only had time to glance at the catalogue, going to read it during holiday but my first impression is that I like the pics and the quality of paper. Glad to have it but will definitely continue to use the edition III, which feels more familiar.

Hello all,
Total newbie here, but looking for definitive years for a scarf gift. Is Carres d'Art IV totally reliable? There seem to be contradictory issue dates attached to some scarves compared to online catalogues / auctions / sellers' info... (I guess this is understandable, but if the Fontan book is definitive, surely everyone would use those dates?)
Have any of you found discrepancies in your knowledge and the Fontan book? Is there any definitive catalog of what scarves were issues when?

Nice collection! I only knew about the top one "Little Book of Hermès"Some of my favorite books...
Oh, you gotta check out Bringing Home the Birkin by Michael Tonello. It was written around 15 years ago and is a fun read! I found it hard to put down, and it really shows that not a lot has changed in our hot pursuit of the Birkin.
