Yup the calf hair is priced way too high imo - the one on ebay was actually a good price compared to retail but much better to try and find outlet bargains like the bengal tiger ones at 70-75% off- annoyingly the BT bags went to half price in the real sales but then back up to only 30% off when they hit the outlets- they must think we are stupid- so now they have to sell them off cheaply.

Not sure many if any of this leopard design hit the outlets though- not sure how many were made either as Ive never seen another irl- the one on ebay is the only other one Ive seen I think

Yes easily long enough for cross body. It is adjustable with several holes. I will measure one this evening for you.

Ant did always appear in the mens section originally- I guess its unisex as some ladies like them- but they never suited me- and I found the small one too small and the big one too big anyway!! For me lily is the perfect small bag

Hairy is the only alexa clutch I possess- I dont particularly like the lexie clutch as a style but loved this leopard print and thought it was a bit (read a lot!!) OTT on a regular sized lexie but just perfect for a smaller one- they didnt do mini alexas then so the clutch was the perfect compromise

Ah, thats interesting did the mini Lexie replace the clutch then?

They are both very small but find it useful to have one if you ever do want to be uncluttered and just need to take a few essentials

I tried a mini Alexa and it definitely wasn't me, I thought it looked like a "Dollys" or kiddies bag. The Alexa clutch worked better & also multi functional as you could use it as a clutch

Totally agree- I feel the mini alexa looks like a dolly bag on me too- not helped by my OH saying so out loud and laughing when I tried one on- put it back and slithered away in shame!!

I love the fact that we all love different things and that there's something at mulberry for all of us!
I'd still love a purple ant.... It would be perfect to go walking with especially with wellies in those winter months that are coming all too soon!

This is exactly what I need a cross body bag for. All my bags are too big for walking days.

I love my Ants, and have had several over the years, though recently moved from 'regular' to 'messenger' sized ones too.
Re the buckles digging into you - I think this depends on which hip you have the bag against - may be worth trying it the other way round?

Suggest you try some on (take the stuffing out too, as why the shops overfill them, I don't know!), and see how you feel.

My Ant came out with me today ('cos I'm feeling a bit guilty about the lack of Ant love) and got complimented twice - once by a colleague who hadn't seen the colour before, and once by a friend who kidnapped it and didn't want to give it back! Self-esteem duly restored:smile1:

It's interesting that although I only ever carry Mulberries, the only two that regularly get recognised as such are my Antony and my Bayswater

I've just measured my Alexa clutch strap, 1.5mtrs it also has 8 holes for adjustable wear.

I am on the seafront and do find the wellies come out from time to time for a windswept walk or a country stroll. I can see Ant would work well with the Barbour waxed jacket but not for me I still prefer my Alexa clutch:girlsigh:
