Hi This thread is great I have learned alot from just looking on here. What stumped me always was those pesky metal hang tags, and of course the lining on the inside. I have seen many with Coach C lining, that are Coach sigs. :shrugs:....now I know those are fake.....and as for the metal tags, they must be smooth....Thanks for the info....:cutesy:

I'm wondering which metal tags are supposed to be smooth? I just won an older ergo with a metal tag with the word "Coach" raised, not smooth. Should I be worried?:confused1:
Another question: The one I just got was made in China which I know is the norm but I've seen some made in Turkey. Were/are some Coach purses made in Turkey? Thanks!

Color me confused. I am looking for the large denim Carly, 10795. This seller says that is the number of the bag but the measurements are for 10619. I asked her which bag it was and this was the response:

"Hi, My measurements are correct. This bag is not this season's but a prior one. It is definetly a large. Coach makes subtle changes each season. I hope this helps."

Here is the auction, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I was under the impression that the Carly style was brand new as of late 2006. They only made them in the certain ones until around spring. It's either a spring or summer 2007 bag.:confused1: Hmm.

Wish the picture of the creed was better.

Coach did make some bags in Turkey. The ones I've seen have a serial number prefix of "K(x)2" where x would be the year code, but there may have been other codes too.

Don't use hangtags as a way to authenticate Coaches, lots of older bags have lost their original tags. The creed stamp or patch is a much better guide. What was the auction number of the bag you won?

I don't think I've ever seen that one faked. They were pretty common (and inexpensive) at the outlets and most outlet-only bags fly pretty low on the counterfeiter's radar. The crooks like to rip off the popular and high profit bags like the Sig Stripes and the Carlys.
