You are so right about wanting the clock to slow down. My oldest granddaughter was in 4th grade when I moved here and she's going to be in high school in August! She's a teenager now! You probably remember when I moved here. It doesn't seem like that long, does it? When I think of how much all three grandchildren have grown, I know how blessed I am to be here with them instead of only visiting them once a year during a two week vacation.

I like the look of the TSV. I have to wonder though if this will be another round of order one, get a striped or bumpy fllorentine, send it back until I get a good one. This happened with my florentine logo lock a year and a half ago.

I just compared the measurements on the crossbody to the Ginger Pouchette, which I have in croco. WHile the TSV is a bit wider, the other two measurements are similar. For me, I think this is going to be too small for an everyday crossbody :(. I am bummed as I really like it.

And the measurements on the satchel differ between the Dooney and QVC sites. My guess is they measure differently, but the bags are the same size... or not?

Ohhhh....I didn't realize this was the same style offered on dooney.com. There are more colors available on their site. The bag will ship between the 5th and 12th of November, depending on the color. But something to think about are the holiday sales and the 12 Days of Dooney. The small TSV bag is about 25% off and the bigger bag is about 20% off. They may be on sale for more off in the next month or two. And once again, like the last TSV, there are no free accessories to increase the retail value.

I know about that one and prefer it to the TSV. I just checked and realized that I confused it with the Beacon saddle--which I love. That one is 6 inches cross. However, that back pocket looks very small. Maybe good for Metrocard holder.

It's possible to just get the 15 percent off and free shipping. It come to about the same with tax.

I don't look at the accessories as increased value. Increased price, yes. They usually cut costs on those. Sometimes they got it right. I think the selling point is that the Q will get the "debut" of this line and after that day, the price will remain stuck there--until they decide to clear them out. This also supposed to be first quality . This is for people who are loyal customers and need/want the ez pays for a holiday gift.

I agree with you regarding the accessories. The retail value to me was exaggerated since there was really nothing to compare it to. But in this case the bag is not a QVC exclusive so it does have a real retail value and subsequently if they offered an accessory that's not available with the retail bag it would increase the value of the TSV. And I especially agree with you on ez pay. I bought bags from QVC because I was able to budget them on ez pay. Dooney.com has free shipping and DooneyPay. I know it's only 3 payments instead of six but it still may work for some people, especially if they're able to get it at a good sales price. (Right now it's only 15% off with the code SAVE15.)
It's just something to think about for those who are on the fence with the TSV. Before, with QVC exclusive bags you had to make a decision by the end of the TSV day because it wasn't going to be cheaper for months, and it wasn't going to be available anywhere else. Now, if you're more concerned with price over ezpays you have time to wait out a better sale.:smile:

Does anyone know how this leather will wear? Dooney.com describes the leather as "smooth burnished leather", I'm just really scared of me scratching this bag all to heck since its smooth...I do however like how its treated to repel water, that would be a bonus!

I love the look of the leather.... but I agree with you...it's likely to show scratches. It reminds me of Toscana leather and also Alto.... both of which show scratches.

This bag (both) Are gorgeous. The leather looks like it is very similar to the Toscana. I wish the Crossbody was a little larger. It almost reminds me of a large cosmetic if you take the strap off.

Maybe I will get something from this line later.

A little off topic—I was watching some presentations on the Q and the Dooney rep that presented the Teegan was not Sue or Ashley?
I have never seen her. I don’t think it was the gal from HSN—but I am not sure I would recognize her.

I ordered the biscuit. I watched the presentation at midnight and thought it was gorgeous. I also like that it won’t matter if it rains. There’s nothing more classy than throwing your Florentine bag in a white garbage bag when it rains!
