Another Dooney TSV :)

I finally retrieved my mini crossbody TSV from the PO box yesterday. '"Cute," said an 18-year-old friend. And it is. I think it's lovely, not a "Florentine" bag. Very equestrian and not my usual style, but I got a very good price on it, thanks to a QVC credit that hadn't been used. Honestly, I wouldn't pay $250 for it, but at half-price, it was looking into. It reminds me of a saddle. Initially, I thought maybe an outside slip pocket would have helped, but I think that after looking at it IRL, no. It would spoil the aesthetic. This incarnation of cuteness holds my big (6 inch) smartphone, my small wallet and my keys. I can also fit my glasses case and Metrocard. Oh, and did I mention the smell of leather?

Be careful!
Well....I ordered the bone TS. from HSN. Somehow I think the got the tote confused with another. Got this horrible feeling....
It's coming to my PO Box, because there's no canceling that one. They immediately put it into Packaging. I hadn't ordered anything from HSN in about six years and I always able to cancel or change the order. Nope.

Hi SBQ!
Thank you so much for the heads up! I'm an impulse online buyer, and I usually get a strong case of buyer's remorse within the first hour or so of placing an order. But I place the order knowing I have time to change my mind. I'll be careful when shopping HSN.
I hope you're not disappointed in your bag when it arrives. :hugs:
P.S. I just had to add, I'm sitting in a Starbucks now as I type this.

HSN used to give you until 11:59pm to cancel an order placed anytime during that same day. So, sometimes you had hours and sometimes minutes to change your mind, depending upon when you placed the order. I don't know when they changed their procedure. Thanks for the heads-up.

You're welcome! Well, I knew there were kindred spirits here. LOL. Would hate people to get stuck. I'm sure the tote is lovely, but I think I would be more disappointed if my bank account had less money. Already had one impulse buy. (I don't consider the Selleria flap an impulse. I did wait until it came down in price and when I had a chance of getting one in decent condition.)
Hope you had a nice coffee! I really used to hang out there in the old days. Twice a day! Back when I thought money grew on trees, I guess. I might go once a month or so. Most of the time, I brew my own Starbucks coffee.

LavJ,
I guess that was back in the day. It's now the sibling of QVC and they have to latch on to that money. I don't know if it had an effect on other items. Not going to experiment, that's for sure. I have a few handbags sitting around that I own because Q snatched away that cancel button. I kept them, because I liked them enough and they weren't defective.
There's a strong psychological element present.
Someone once told me that to close a sale, it's important to instill a sense of ownership. So often when a prospective customer visits a jewelry store, they they're allowed to touch or try on the merchandise. For the moment it's in your hand or on your wrist, it's yours. If a lovely bag comes to your home, it's already there. Many times merchandise stays.
I'm sure the tote is pretty in bone with the striped ticking. It's either that or the Dawson. (Well, there's no comparison between them.)
It will be with a heavy heart that I go the the PO with tape and scissors to open that box, fill out the paperwork, and send it back.

 I know what you mean about thinking money grows on trees! I used to buy a Quad Grande Cappuccino every day and, depending on my workload, sometimes two a day. Peet's Coffee is my drug of choice now, and I cap my capps at two a week . But I'm in Vegas now, with no Peet's nearby, and I've been treating myself to a daily Starbucks quad grande cappuccino. Justification: Vacation Mode.;)
