Hi all, I don't know if you're still interested in the Anna Wintour necklace, but I decided to try and have it made in Hong Kong/China which has been an interesting experience. The samples are trickling back now:

And I expect in two weeks I'll hopefully have the finished product! If anyone is interested in the necklace when it comes I would be happy to get you one. Nerida x

I think they look great! But I agree, get rid of the obvious links between stones, and make them all the same size and larger doesn't hurt, either. I don't even mind the round shape. Keep us posted. Grreat job!:smile1:

The samples look very close to Anna Wintour's necklace. I think you and the craftsmen have captured it. It is the closest replica I have seen. Would love to have a couple. Wondering about price.

Did anyone see Jenna Lyons (the creative director at J. Crew) on Martha Stewart Nov. 27th? Go to her website and see the video. She is wearing two necklaces, one of which is similar to Annas. I called J. Crew and spoke with Audrey, a very helpful sales associate. She said the necklace is not available until February, and no price yet, but can preordered by phone. Style # 25976, called Crystal Colleto. Bingo! You recall that Annas are 18th Century Collets. It looked beautiful on T.V., and I am still waiting to see Strawberry Hills samples from Hong Kong. Check it out.

^Desert Mermaid, thank you for posting, I found the link on the site and the necklace is absolutely beautiful. I'm not certain it will be available in the same color as Anna Wintour's. But the necklace is gorgeous.

Hi Guys, well, I think (hopefully) that I've aced the Anna Wintour necklace. Here's a picture of two of them in 'citrine'. I can have it made in heaps of colours including aquamarine, which is another necklace that she wore. The crystal is very sparkly. At the moment the gold metal is quite gold and bright, but I think it will actually look better with age (and dare I say tarnishing if this metal does actually tarnish) because it will look older and more 'Georgian' or 'Victorian'. I couldn't find the J Crew example, but I hope this measures up. The cost is $130 USD. It also comes in a smaller size crystal. If you're interested to read more about the process that I went through to get them pls just search Nerida (my name) and Art for Interiors and you might find me!!! Best wishes to all.

Nerida, that is perfect! Thank you so much for all the effort you have gone to, it has certainly paid off! And not too expensive either :yahoo: Can I ask how many inches the necklaces are?

I may have to wish for that for my birthday :p I've killed my christmas budget this year...
