I guess we can by keeping this thread going. It really is appalling what she said. I think she could have handled it better by saying something along the lines of..."great to see you're a fan of my arrow design, but hey, how about you buy my ear cuff next time so it'll be a complete matching set..." or something along those lines. ;)

I agree with you, but somehow I wish someone could tell her PR people, what we are all discussing. I am not familiar with ear cuffs at all but I would assume they would be the same as diamond studs, as in that every designer designs them? And that no-one would have intellectual property of them, and as someone as discussed she ripped off the arrow design herself!!

Wow! Is she crazy? You can style and wear your jewelry in whatever way you like. And to completely go off like that on social media. Just not okay. I would never buy anything of hers. That is completely disrespectful.

Now I am starting to feel angry at her comments. I feel that her distributors should be made aware of this behaviour (Neiman Marcus etc). Is that going to be too spiteful? I posted here because I wanted some feedback and was hurt lol.

^Sure, but please don't use tPF as a reference, Vlad and Megs don't allow that.

people can follow her FB page long enough to comment then unfollow her again. But I'm assuming she scours the net for her name coming up - Google alert possibly, and will see this thread, even if she doesn't respond.

If you posted that photo on her FB page, people can comment back to her directly right there as well.

Appreciate the feedback. I think its best to return her items so I can buy something else and enjoy wearing them.

The arrow earring is a copy of a vintage design. You can see it by googling shooting arrow earring (1930s!)

Haha - I was just going to post this myself!!

http://thehairpin.com/2011/09/the-week-in-estate-jewelry-tiger-claws-secret-hearts-and-opal-madness

I have the Anita Ko arrow earring too and it took a LONG time to save up for. I also have the rose gold ear cuff. I would also love the diamond cuff at some point but her post has totally put me off and I wont be buying any more of her stuff.

I can understand that she is mad that someone else is making earrings similar to her design BUT she should be tackling her upset with the jewellers who make the 'inspired' designs not YOU. Plus, it isnt patented to her and like others have said, there must be so many people who mix and match her earrings.

A lot her pieces are sky high in price and her post that asks 'why didnt you just buy my diamond cuff if you were just going to wear it like that' simply doesnt take into account the fact that most people arent 'made of money'. A lot of people are aspirational buyers who save and save for one big statement piece and then mix it up with 'cheaper' buys to get the 'designer look'.

I'm sorry this has upset you - I would be totally feeling the same and not sure I'd want to wear the arrow so I think you're doing the right thing by returning the earring. Buying expensive jewellery should make you feel wonderful and I can imagine the whole thing has just left a sour taste in your mouth :flowers:

So crazy I had to laugh! This dame is a PR team's nightmare!!!
Anyone know if she's pulled this with other customers? Wouldn't be surprised.................
A person who dictates what someone should wear together, be it clothing, shoes/bags or jewelry is truly delusional!!!
Some of her pieces are unique and something I might have been interested in buying...not anymore!

Of course, I am not going to paste anyone's comments here.

You have every right to feel angry and upset. Not only were you attacked by the designer but now you have to waste time trying to organize the return and refund. But don't let this ruin your day, how the situation panned out speaks volumes about Anita Ko. I know it's not much of a consolation but get your money back and spend or save it on/for something else. Hugs your way! :)

I just tweeted this:

Lost all respect for @anitakojewelry You apparently can't mix her earrings with other brands or she goes crazy on you on social media

She should know what people think about things like this! I'm a very sensitive person and I would literally be crying if she wrote that under my picture lol.

I was crying for 2 hours because of this and after an hour my husband thought I was crazy to even care about this 'insignificant' as he called her!
