I saw an item on amazon for around $150 that was around $200 elsewhere. I didn't want to order it that day because I was leaving town. Not I got back and price has increased to around the same price as the dept store. I can just buy it from the dept store or wait and see if amazon reduces it. don't know if they will. anyone had this experience?

Yes, all the time. I add stuff to cart then click on “save for later” really often. When I log in it’ll list all the price increases/decreases of those items.
