She should just own up to her $h**. People won't give a damn about what she does if she just says "so what I like to smoke weed," like Rihanna does.
She is clearly insecure and feels like she needs attention. The behavior she's exhibiting is getting her what she wants. Then she can just act like "oh that's not me" and think its all ok. She's the boy who cried wolf.

Yes. This is only further proof shes a compulsive liar or Schizophrenic. She has been seen stealing and lying about it, she lies about paparazzi pictures, she lies about magazine pictures which she conducted herself, she lied about her drug use and the list goes on. Her actions are bizarre.
What consequences should there be for her crazy behavior? I'm thankful the system isn't allowed to just deem people erratic as they see fit and hold them somewhere... That's when everyone should realize our society has become something scary
i feel like she belongs in a mental institution. she seems like a hazard to herself.
unfortunately people like watching others crash and burn. Look at Charlie Sheen, his breakdown gained him a host of followers and attention too but he obviously needed help. AB needs serious mental help. I'm no therapist but it's clear that she going through some sort of mental breakdown.
What she said about Riri was nasty and immature but Rihanna posted this on her twitter prior to Amanda going off on her. I dont know if Rihanna meant it as an insult or just that women hide while not wearing make up but I wonder if this triggered Amanda to attack her.

This is such a shame to watch. I have liked Amanda since she was on All That. I hope she eventually is able to get some kind of help.

I get what you are trying to say. I think it would be scary if it was too easy to be locked up like back in the days when husbands could have their wives commited to the local sanatorium on a whim but that is obviously an extreme.
There are some pretty strict guidlines now to getting someone commited as there should be however many sick people end up falling through the cracks due to that. I think the guidlines are in place for 1) a persons rights and 2) a lack of hospital funding. There are so many out there like Amanda who need help but end up either dead, homeless or in jail instead of a safe environment like a hospital due to lack of hospital resources. Pretty much unless someone is showing they are a true danger to others or themselves they will be let go with or without a referal to the local mental health clinic which usually just goes in the trash. This is why many jails are becoming mental institutions more so now than ever. I have a few friends who work in corrections and they say more and more people who belong in a hospital are instead filling up their jails making their jobs even more difficult. Amanda seemed lucid enough in court, she was able to answer the judge so that means she was most likely able to answer the medical staff quetsions at the hospital also. As long as she is with it enough to do that then they arnt going to hold her.
Rihanna posts stuff like that all the time. I don't understand why you would think that was aimed at Amanda? Believe me, if Rih was talking about her she would've just said it. She has no filter. Amanda thinks everyone is out to get her.
