Most of things sound familiar to me too
I also sometimes:
have a 'display bag of the day/week/month in my living room or hall' (not the one I'm using, oh no, something too precious to use everyday or from my 'archive')
take old bags to see their 'family' when I know I'm visiting the 'family' store

"Display bag of the day/week/month"!!! Love it! Totally stealing the idea if you don't mind![]()
I do all of these.
I was in a restaurant the other day and couldn't stop staring and smiling at my new bag, which had its own seat of course. I caught the waitress giving me a very funny look.
I rotate my bags in case the unused bags get jealous.
Sometimes, I lie my rose ballerine wallet on a piece of white paper on my desk, just in case it gets a bit of dust on it.
I must be mad.

My bags also occasionally go back to their homes to visit their cousins and sometimes, they would persuade me to adopt another one home![]()
I. Love. This. Thread.
A longtime friend recently came for first visit to my new place (in a new city). This is the friend who -- when we lived in the same city -- used to be my partner in crime for trips to cruise bag-options (we called them pilgrimages). First thing she said upon seeing the bag-display in the bedroom was "Ohh, hello, friends..."
