Most of things sound familiar to me too

I also sometimes:

have a 'display bag of the day/week/month in my living room or hall' (not the one I'm using, oh no, something too precious to use everyday or from my 'archive')

take old bags to see their 'family' when I know I'm visiting the 'family' store

"Display bag of the day/week/month"!!! Love it! Totally stealing the idea if you don't mind

I do all of these.

I was in a restaurant the other day and couldn't stop staring and smiling at my new bag, which had its own seat of course. I caught the waitress giving me a very funny look.

I rotate my bags in case the unused bags get jealous.

Sometimes, I lie my rose ballerine wallet on a piece of white paper on my desk, just in case it gets a bit of dust on it.

I must be mad.

That's so normal you have no idea. Like, basic stuff.

I took my Modalu wallet out of the closet so she can go for a trip with me, we've been on the road for almost two hrs now (riding a bus) and I've been trying to come up with excuses to get Pippa out and look at it/open it/just hold it in my hand. She's so lovely!

OMG, you do this too? I thought it was just me! I took my first Birkin back to her home store whenever I am in that city!

To OP, I am also guilty of "invent reasons to take your new bag out" and "stare aimlessly at the bag". I don't sleep with my bag in bed (I am too afraid to touch it in my sleep) but I do have bags displayed on my bedroom dresser sometimes so that I can see it first thing when I wake up in the morning.

I do everything except naming them. I get SO obsessed that I sit next to it when Im watching TV or put it next to the tv so I can just stare at it! [emoji1] I also do make my bf take me on a date so I can use my bag. [emoji23] And I do use my bag as soon as I can! There's no use waiting to use it when I can use it right away!

Hahaha!!!! I do that as well!!! And I also put my newest bags on the shelf above the TV in our living room so that when me and my SO watch soccer (it's booooooring) I'd just stare at my bags instead, pretending to watch the soccer game. [emoji23].

I am adding myself to the group. It's all normal to me but DH thinks I'm obsessed, despite part of the reason why I name my bags is to make it easier for him to identify who is who. My bags also occasionally go back to their homes to visit their cousins and sometimes, they would persuade me to adopt another one home :sweatdrop:

I. Love. This. Thread.

A longtime friend recently came for first visit to my new place (in a new city). This is the friend who -- when we lived in the same city -- used to be my partner in crime for trips to cruise bag-options (we called them pilgrimages). First thing she said upon seeing the bag-display in the bedroom was "Ohh, hello, friends..."

I need a friend like that! Tell her that if she wants, I can adopt her. She will have a loving forever home here... :D
