Am I the only one who absolutely hates the alhmabra design?

I'm sure you're not the only one who dislikes Van Cleef and that is ok! Not everything is for everyone. I adore both brands so I'm an equal opportunity wearer  . Regardless, is it just the Alhambra you dislike? Have you explored some of the other collections? I note Cartier is a bit more gender neutral and universal in their styles (less "frilly" so to speak) but VCA has much to offer beyond the Alhambra: Perlee, Frivole, Floras, Faunas, Pure Alhambra, Fleurette, Zodiacs, high jewelry, etc. Maybe the Alhambra (real and fake) is oversaturated in your part of the world/city/town or your area on social media and it is understandable to feel it is too common (if that's a contributing factor for your dislike). Anyway, if you haven't but you're open to it, take a peek around the website or a boutique and perhaps something might catch your fancy. If not that's ok too.

Their more commercial (entry level - sorry) jewellery like the reg Alhambra or Frivole lines tend to be more femme than other brands. It suits many women and often looks fabulous. All far to femme for me. Too much pave too.

However, VCA's simple Zodiaque (also pocket change in VCA relativity) and Zip necklaces, Bouton d'or and Cadena pieces are stunning and I would love to wear (the Cadena watch would have to be vintage, coz I'm not into that quartz for that money).

Haha my husband is pretty much right up there with you. :P He very much dislikes/almost hates VCA.

The only thing he likes are the high jewelry collections because to him they’re more unique and have more design elements to them.

I like the more simplistic design because it’s more everyday but overall most of them are a little too feminine for my aesthetic. They also don’t really suit my lifestyle because I’m not careful with my fine jewelry lol

The all-metal Zodiaque, yes, pocket change. But the Zodiaque with stones? I think it’s insane that VCA priced them like that, and I wonder if there are people who buy them.
