Hi OMG I'm so happy to have found this thread!
Literally the same thing happened to my alma yesterday and I came on here to see if I can find anything.

May I know what LV said for your bag and did they fix it? Can you help me with any info?

I bought mine last November and it's that new matte leather. My 1st LV bag too. I literally got caught in a drizzle for about 10 mins while walking back home from the park. I wiped it down completely and let it dry after reaching home. But today morning I saw these marks on the bottom leather part.

Really upset coz before buying the bag I researched so much on which bag would be suitable for the English weather all year round... and now this happened :(

This is awful! I am so sorry. I did recently get a bag with matte leather and now I know it’s not a weatherproof bag! How disappointing! One reason we get DE is so we don’t have to baby it—guess that’s not the case anymore. My speedy 25 DE is the old treated leather version and I’ve never had this happen.

Use baby wipe should taking care of that stain.
All matte will stained if any liquid gets on.

Hi!
The same happened to mine only its worst! I, too, was under the impression that the alma was rainproof but didn’t realise that only applied to the old shiny leather version. Im so upset as Ive only worn this out a few times and it’s practically still brand new :( are there any fixes? I have tried baby wipes and leather conditioner too but have seem to have no luck.
When you went into the store what did LV say?

This happened to mine also, and mine is the old shiny leather. I was caught in an absolute deluge though, even the chaps and key holder swelled up. And it got wet inside. The bottom of the bag looked pretty bad to begin with, but got better with time. The swollen leather chaps went back to normal and the bottom of the bag is barely noticeable. I think there is also a faint watermark inside too. I can't stress enough though that I was in an absolute deluge, walking home in it for at least 20 mins! At least I know my Speedy DE is much better in the rain.
