Lovely collection you have there, such beautiful colours! Very true that the squish was part of the appeal, like older Bal bags it's a real pity that Longchamp discontinued the Cuir line. I'd buy the new Xtra hobo immediately, sight unseen, if it were in Métis leather. What's the point of a rigid, structured hobo?

Yep, this is Cuir Métis leather, and AFAIK, it was a US exclusive. We never had them available here in France. They don't make this style in the new cowhide Xtra line.

My all time favorite is the original Le Pliage Cuir in the soft Métis (lamb) leather.

The cuir line is definitely one of my favourites. The softness of the metis leather is so appealing. It's a real pity that it is discontinued.

My hunter green leather

This is the hunter green that I had been waiting for but in the XS crossbody. I'm eagerly waiting for LC to relaunch this colour... but wait, there are no more metis leather bags.

Is it the one that is currently on the Bloomingdale’s website, available in black and navy?

If so, you’ll need wait for the item to arrive and have a look at the yellow barcode sticker, or the interior tag if this item has one. I’ll PM you the style numbers for Cuir métis and Xtra. Can’t tell from the product photo because they’ve both the same shape and measurements, and Bloomies doesn’t put the style number in the description.

With these independent stockists, there’s always the risk that the description isn’t correct. I’ve seen wrong measurements, wrong materials, and even incorrect product names at Nordstrom and Edisac websites, so it can happen.

The UPC (universal product code) is the barcode number on an item’s hang tags, internal reference for Bloomies employees to keep track of stock. It doesn’t correspond with any style numbers, just fyi.

I’ve bought a few cuir pieces from bloomies lately, and I’m 99% sure the one you’re talking about is Métis. They had the Burgundy one pop up with the navy and black a few weeks ago and it was Métis. Same listing.

My hunter green leather (nordstrom exclusive) so soft and squishy! But honestly I love so many of my nylon pliages just as much! Think this is cuir leather -not sure Does anyone know?

Wow I love this so much! I saw them once a few years ago in Nordstrom Canada and am kicking myself for not picking up the large long handle burgundy one in the pic below. Haven’t seen them since



My favourite in my small current collection is probably the orange leather long handle medium tote. The leather is so plush and it’s just easy to carry. But I’m hankering for a large in either leather or the new coated canvas!

I will like to say metis as well but I agree with @seidokat that one needs to look at the tag to be 100% certain and stockists do just use the same product listing without really knowing that the product might be different.
