All About That Andiamo!

I have many classic and quite a few of the new, larger weave. Other than the larger weave relaxing more the actual wear is exactly as ever. Not a problem I’ve been hearing. This is the first I’ve heard of it. Also, the newer Cobble bag is fantastic in that it doesn’t really relax and there are no raw edges - perhaps if it was available in white, that would be a good choice.

BV intrecciato and weave wears like iron, even in lambskin. Just don’t get it wet.
I have the mini cabat in white and yes I am careful with it but the weave actually casts shadows so any marks I feel would camouflage and zero worries about durability. I pack it to the brim.
As for the options listed, I said it before, the sea salt Andiamo is stunning!
I would definitely choose Andiamo over Chanel 19.
Although for me personally a white classic flap would also be a timeless staple but the price is outrages so BV for the win.

Thank you everyone who responded. Mixed reviews, haha, hard to make a decision. But the issue I suppose is that it's white and any white bag is very difficult to maintain. I did finally get to see it in person and I really was impressed with the quality. It looks durable, plenty of space for my essentials and structured enough where I don't think it'll sag. I loved it even more with the metal chain and it's not too heavy. Lucky for me they are sold out in the white so I couldn't be tempted to buy it!

@J.T. gosh the white classic flap is of course on my wishlist but I've seen a few photos of it turning yellow especially around the stitching so it makes me very very afraid to spend that kind of money on it.

Chanel lambskin is so delicate. Were you looking at the caviar or lambskin?

If a classic flap, definitely a caviar. I've got minis in lambskin. Haven't had them long enough to know how well they hold up, but since they are minis they are easier to care for. A classic size would have to be caviar. Now you're making me dream about the CF in white again. I go back and forth on this in my head all the time.

If you’re in the U.S., bottega just dropped a ton of new releases a few hours ago, this one included! It says it’s a silky calfskin. Excited to see it in person

Need to ask you ladies for your thoughts - I have the Andiamo clutch in fondant and LOVE IT to pieces. Originally, I was debating between fondant and barolo but because barolo wasn't available at the time, I default went with fondant. Fast forward to now, I still have lingering feelings for barolo and am thinking about purchasing that one as well.

So my Q is - do you think fondant and barolo overlap too much in warmth and tone to justify owning both pieces? I'm specifically referring to the Andiamo clutch style as I'm not considering other styles in barolo at the moment. If anyone owns both pieces and could kindly share photos next to each other, that would be super helpful as well! TIA

I owned the Andiamo clutch in fondant but sold it because I have an Hermes Kelly longue clutch as well as my tosca in fondant and wasn’t reaching for it/trying to downsize. Great bag though! Here is my cassette in grained barolo and my tosca in fondant calfskin so not sure if the changes the colors slightly. I think the colors are very different and I don’t see any overlap imo. The first 3 are bright natural sunlight and last is in my closet

I tried the Andiamo small in store over the weekend and thought the size was perfect, and a beautifully constructed bag.. however, it is lambskin! (fragile compared to calfskin / goat skin, etc - maybe Hermes has ruined me LOL) and it has NO FEET!! Why? For that price, I think the design ought to be a little more thought out, especially as there are a lot of pressure points where the wear and tear might become prominent - I'm thinking straps, corners & base. I saw that there was an ostrich version (pic below) that will be available soon on AU website, and that one has feet, so why not the regular intrecciato? I think if I do bite the bullet on getting a BV one day it might have to be vintage as I have heard the quality is better, but the price is also more palatable.

I have a few BV bags all in intrecciato lambskin and have to say that none of them has shown that much wear and tear as I had feared like you. I'm not rough with my bags though and all the bags I own from BV are on the smaller side for short outings, brunches, dinners, etc and def not as daily work horse. So probably be okay as long as you take some care 😊

Hi friends. I'm buying my wife a small or medium Andiamo, and we're curious about the suede offerings. The default choice is leather, but we're curious how the sledge holds up. She's a new mom and has a rotation of bags so it won't be used every day for extended periods. But with rain, dirt etc, we don't want to feel like it's too delicate compared to leather. Since this bag has no feet, suede on the floor also seems not great. Thanks!
