I just received a preloved chaine d'ancre mm,15 links, but it's too small for my wrist. Can Hermès adds 1 or more new links to my preloved bracelet?Someone knows the price of this service?
Best regards

no one,please?

I'd suggest calling the after sales specialist at your local store. They handle repair inquiries, and it's likely best in this situation to get the information directly from them. Best wishes!

Best to call to find out...

I doubt that H will add extra links even buy directly from H boutique due to liability issue.

My experience is they will add links and polish it and it will look like new. I had it done some time ago and don't remember the cost.

Hi everyone, I whish to order a chaîne d'ancre TGM on H.com but I don't know which size of links is best. I wear a love 16 that fits tight and like quite a tight fit for the other wrist. Any advice is very welcome!

Hi,

When you mean size of links, I'm assuming number of links (you mentioned the TGM size).

The toggle clasp makes it impossible to get a really tight fit with the TGM unless you are willing to really squeeze your arm a fair bit when pulling the toggle through (just above the wrist bone towards the elbow is usually the narrowest part). Part of the problem is inherent to toggle clasps and the rest of the problem is that the TGM links are large and the TGM toggle bar is huge even compared to a large bracelet like the Alea. The GM size has much smaller links and the toggle bar is much smaller so it makes it easier to get a tighter fit without strangling your arm while putting the bracelet on.

I've not tried a Love bracelet on but I'm assume they measure 16 cm accurately. I have a 16 cm wrist and I tried to choose between the 11 and 12 link bracelets. The 11 link bracelet fit tighter which I really liked but still moved up and down my arm fairly freely. I didn't like how the 11 link bracelet sat on my wrist because more often it rested in a position with half the links facing straight out like the Chaîne d'Ancre Enchaînée cuff but worse because there wasn't just a metal bars between the links but full links which made the bracelet stick out from my wrist. The 12 link bracelet sat with the links angled at 45 degrees which looks the best to me. Of course that was for me and I think it will depend on your wrist whether you encounter the same problem I did. I don't think you will be able to fit a 10 link bracelet.

If you can wait, I am planning to visit my local boutique on Saturday and I can try to put on 10 and 11 link bracelets (if they have them) and let you know if the 10 will fit. Unfortunately my boutique is strict about no photos but maybe I can convince my SA to make an exception.

Dear wma, so grateful for your reply. This is so helpful! I will certainly wait if you can try as it's not urgent for me but your reply will already avoid me a lot of trouble with my new knowledge! Thank you so much!!!

Plus I understood that this bracelet needs to be tried on my wrist anatomy to find a fit that is pleasant and doesn't bother my writing wrist.
I won't order online and try to see the fit in boutique in the futur, thanks again.[emoji255][emoji255]

Hi, I'm happy that I could help and I'll let you know how it goes on Saturday. I think it will be worth the wait to try it on in person because fit is so personal. I have a lot of bracelets and cuffs but the TGM is the bracelet I wear the most. I'll buy a bracelet and wear it for a while but I always find my way back to the TGM. The GM is a great alternative if you want something less bold and it was my favourite until I bought the TGM. I can say without a doubt that if I could only have one bracelet, a CdA TGM would be it with the GM a close second. There are very few bracelets that can fit into as many situations/outfits as the CdA.

Thank you again [emoji255][emoji255][emoji255], and in the GM you'd prefer the 13 links?

I agree that you should try the CdA on to be sure about sizing. The toggle clasps, particularly, add an element of mystery!

I got my TGM online - I have one with a black leather link and those are very hard to find. I was surprised at how much difference the toggle made. Thankfully mine fits and I wear it almost daily in a stack with my watch.

Good luck finding the perfect one!
