This painting was originally created for the Biophilia project working with @synchearth celebrating the IUCN Redlist of endangered species. This painting depicts species in the Coral Triangle, a critically endangered habitat threatened by climate change, pollution and overfishing. The second in Alice Shirley's art series for Vanderohe to help raise money for marine conservation is her "Coral Triangle - Earth Series" in collaboration with Synchronicity Earth.

Alice's tropical reef is a celebration of an ecosystem we don't always think about, but upon which millions of people depend. Due to marine pollution and global warming, the world's coral reefs are dying at an alarming rate. Without urgent action, we risk losing one of the most beautiful and vital foundations of the natural world.

100% proceeds from sales of this artwork is donated to Marine Savers' Reefscapers, a world-leading coral reef propagation team.

Looks like there's another limited edition watch using Alice Shirley's design, Aaaaargh! (credit: Watch I Love)

The Arceau watch, created by Henri d’Origny in 1978, lends its classic yet distinctive round shape – with its asymmetrical stirrup-inspired lugs – to infinite expressions of Hermès creativity, style and expertise. Its timeless white gold silhouette stages an alliance between leather craftsmanship and Haute Horlogerie in a one-of-a-kind pocket watch. Beating to the rhythm of the Manufacture H1924 minute-repeater and tourbillon movement, the Arceau Pocket Aaaaargh! frames a refined white enamel dial, protected by a cover adorned with a tyrannosaurus composed of marquetry and leather mosaic.

After the gruff bear of the Slim of Hermes Grrrrr! and the wolf howling in the moonlight of the Arceau Awooooo, the Arceau Pocket Aaaaaargh! watch is joining the bestiary imagined by English artist Alice Shirley.

On this model, the «king of the tyrant lizards» with half-open jaws and an attentive eye comes to life under the expert guidance of Hermès watchmakers, after a month of meticulous work using exclusive techniques developed in its leather workshops.

The design of the tyrannosaurus, which appears to be peeking through a porthole, stands out against the cover and involves a combination of several demanding skills.

The head and scales are made in leather mosaic: thousands of finely hand-cut multicoloured leather fragments are applied one by one to faithfully reproduce the original pattern.

The domed eye of the dinosaur, visible on both sides of the cover, is made of cabochon-cut Grand Feu enamel. Finally, the jaw and tongue are crafted in leather marquetry: fine tesserae are cut from various coloured leathers, previously thinned to just 0.5 mm, before being juxtaposed on the enamel base.

Setting the final touch to this miniaturised leather artwork, a matt green alligator leather cord-strap is secured to the rectangular stirrup and accentuates the overall design.

The Arrrgh (T-Rex) scarf has just recently been on the USA Hermes men’s site, so I would think you could call a sales agent in a store or the H.com number to have them do a search for one for you.

"Here is the original painting for my new #silk #carre design for Hermes A/W 2020 entitled #WildSingapore This is a design that celebrates the wondrous biodiversity of Singapore, exploring its two main habitats: rainforest (left side of the composition and mangrove forest (right side of the composition). I have tried to include species from as many animal and plant groups as I could in the design. The setting is at night because many creatures in Singapore are nocturnal species.

There are green cloudy forms on the horizon that could be more jungle, or could suggest clouds, reminding us that Singapore is an island, surrounded by sea, but the mainland is not far at all. The rainforest habitat is rich with native species, and the mangrove habitat has many visitor species, as well as resident species. Singapore is on the great Eastern migration path, for birds migrating from northern Asia down towards Australia. Singapore is an important place for these birds to feed and rest on their huge journey. The #SungeiBuloh wetland reserve is a vital habitat for these birds. Singapore’s urban spaces are filled with greenery and parks such as the beautiful Botanic Gardens, to encourage wildlife, and it is important to plant native species in urban areas to help native wildlife and provide ‘green corridors’ through the city.

The huge strangler fig tree in the centre of the design, hosting a wealth of epiphytic plants such as climbers, ferns, palms and orchids, has the shape of a lion hidden in its foliage. The lion is the national symbol of Singapore (Lion City), not because the jungle used be the home of lions, but because a Malayan prince was shipwrecked on the island, and claimed he saw a lion. This is not possible, no native species of lion has ever lived on a Singapore, but tigers once roamed freely until the last one was shot in 1930. Perhaps he saw a tiger, and thought it was a lion. He decided to found a city there and named it Singapore, ‘Lion City’. The benevolent spirit of the forest is lion-formed, a very human construct, that cares for the plants and animals. This design reminds us of nature’s beauty, and complexity, it is a delicate balance of species." (from Alice Shirley's Instagram)
