Lanit, I see you yesterday with Alice and I didn't even know! You had some great questions. She is so cordial and sweet.

Excellent! Thrilled for you both, what an honour to meet such a wonderful artist (and for AS to meet you two too of course)

Which questions did you ask and what were her answers? (If you're comfortable to say)

She told us that Hermes tells her the theme from two years from now and then she will start her design. The design she was working on was beautiful. It will be in all black and white with pops of color. Lots of cats!

She said her sister loved the Into the Canadian Wild design so much, that she framed it. I asked her if she's seen her Jaguar Quetzel exceptional piece and she has and she was amazed. She loves hanging out the other scarf artists too since she normally only sees them one day per semester during the scarf presentations. And there will be more Carre Club stops next year in different cities! [emoji173]️

Fascinating, and I love the look of that scarf-to-come. Thank you for sharing that with us, I hope the CC comes to London (or Glasgow) sometime.

I got a bit tongue-tied yesterday when I briefly stopped by Carre Club. AS had the most number of people waiting to talk to her. I’m going back today, and thought I’d ask you folks if there are any specific questions you’d like me to as her?

My questions so far and not in any order:
Do you have anything coming out in the spring collection?
What is your favorite design to date? Why?
Have you ever not been keen on a cw of your design?
Do you submit as black/white or do you submit in color in hopes those colors might become one of the cws?
How did you come to design scarves?
Has your success with H given you visibility to pursue more desirable projects or led to opportunities you wouldn’t have had otherwise?

Dear @Joannadyne, in the presentation that I attended with Alice Shirley, she had shared that she always submits her work in colors. In the past, her original cw has always been issued but that wasn't the case with Jaquar Quetzal as Hermès only issued cws that fall into their color families.

The other question on how she come to design silks is covered in this interview here. :)

Hope you have a fabulous time and please report back with answers on your other questions! :flowers: :tender:

Your photos are lovely!!! My DD attended the event and also enjoyed meeting the artists. She said they are all very nice. She met both of you while waiting to have her photo taken with Alice  and sends her greetings! Lanit, DD is most impressed with your scarf collection! I told her you have an amazing collection and always so beautifully tied. Cygne, she took your photo with Alice , and enjoyed your conversation together! What a small world and how cool is that!!!
