I'm sad to say that I decided I'm going to try to get rid of my inside out rocco bag. I love the smushy leather but I hate how the bag sits open unless the zipper is closed. Plus the weight and size makes it less than ideal as an everyday bag. I guess I don't like barrel shaped bags.
I'm not sure but I think the inside out Rocco is stiffer than the outside-in for lack of a better way of putting it. I have a beet Rocco that just completely molds to my body and I love it...and it doesn't sit open unzipped, see photos. I guess each bag has it's own way of settling, I had an inside out but sold it because I found it way too stiff. (The second pic is of the bag on my body, you can see the zipper stays quite shut). My guess is that the inside-outs stay more barrel-shaped.

Yes, there might be some differences between the inside out and regular Rocco. But your last picture is how mine looks on my arm too. When I put it on the ground or flat Surface, The two sides open a bit (like an eye opening or an oval).

Ahhh, OK...I'll have to try putting mine on the ground then! BTW the inside out Rocco I had was very unbroken-in so maybe they do in fact soften more than I thought. Either bag though is pretty heavy for day to day use. But I love mine, it's just so darn pretty!

I agree it is so pretty, which is why I am sad to part with it. The Rocco has a look that is edgy, simple, but luxurious. I don't think another bag has that look. Enjoy!

Hi ladies! This past Sunday I purchased my first AW Rocco at Off Saks Fifth. The original price was $1150 and I paid $569.99. It's so so beautiful and so plush but it's heavy! I usually don't mind a heavy bag but I would hate to not carry it as much because of the weight but when I saw it I just had to have it. I'm on the fence about keeping it. Any input would be appreciated. Or your personal experience with the bag.

Thanks!

I really love the bag you picked up and it is such a good deal/price, considering the colour. The weight really deterred me from wanting to carry it or put stuff in it. It was useful for vacation but not a practical everyday bag. Plus, I already suffer from a sore neck/shoulders from working at a computer all day. But the look and style of the Rocco is irreplaceable! Good luck deciding!

I'm a newbie and looking to get my first but I love the texture. What's this one called?

I love this bag, bought it some time ago. Carried it for a week and put it away, I do carry a lot of tension in my shoulders so I'm not a great candidate for a bag this heavy. I'm carrying it this week trying to make the same decision as you, do I keep it or sell it? I suspect it's going on the block as I have a bunch of pre-loved Balenciagas that are much lighter and I've gone over to that side for most of my bags. But I share your pain, they're beautiful bags and I'd love to keep it but probably won't carry it very much if I do, maybe a weekender? It's also possible that yours is a bit lighter as the woven leather may weigh a bit less. Good luck with your decision!

hi All!
I just ordered a pre-loved Pink Rocco. Has anyone here had a 'Base Shaper' made for their Rocco?
I am thinking that using one may prevent the sagging when in use. I know the model pics online that show the bag as a structured duffel shape must be stuffing the bag for pics. That is the only explanation when model pics like those above show it as super slouchy/saggy. LOL
I prefer a satchel of this shape to be more structured - like my mini Rockie is.

I find the base is really sturdy already with all the metal.
If you want the body to be more structured maybe look into an organizer like Samorga? I've heard they help hold the body of bags up because they're quite structured by themselves.
When I've got all the stuff I carry in a day in there, it fills it out anyway.
Hope that helps you get ideas?

Another thought...if you decide against the Rocco because of the weight, why not get a Rockie in the same leather style? Super bag, stays really well organized, and I carried mine for months with no weight issues. I've decided to sell my Rocco and am going to search for a Rockie in the same colour/hardware combo.

Totally agree! I had to sell two of my roccos (I got carried away and bought 2 of the same color just different hardware!) because of the weight. I am petite and I always end up with red patches and bruises on my shoulders after wearing them. But the rockie is perfect. Maybe a little small if you're used to carrying a lot of stuff but the weight is just right and it still has that rocco vibe. x

Compared to the Rocco it carries less but if you filled the Rocco you'd never get it off the ground . I actually found I could fit essentials plus and still have some room, it seems to be a very easy bag to keep organized. But it does depend on what you consider essential. The only thing that requires charging that I carry is my phone. If you need to carry much more in the way of electronics it may be a bit too small.

I lol'd reading your post! So true! Thank you! That made my morning. :D

I agree on all points! Yep, my essentials would only include mobile, wallet and a lip gloss so the rockie is definitely perfect.

I always seem to still want the rocco though. :p x
