About a month ago I purchased a "brand new" black leather and rose gold hardware Rocco from evilbay and now I'm seriously debating whether I should keep it or sell it.
I received an obviously used bag and it was an older version, before the glazed piping. The leather is dry and has tiny holes in it, the pebbling is starting to disappear, and the hardware isn't as shiny as it could be :[

What do you guys think I should do? I compared it to my coworkers Rockie in the same colour and she said I was just overreacting and to just enjoy my bag

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the rocco tote holds up? If anyone has had theirs for a few years does it age well? Cause im thinking of making the rocco my next bag purchases but i need 2 know that it will stay in good quality.

Well I saw a black Rocco with Rosegold hw in one of my favorite stores and it was ''brand new'', but I looked closely at the hardware and it was very scratched up, and the Rosegold was starting to come off on a few of the studs. This bag I guess had been around the store for a while on display but I was so surprised to see that the hardware looked the way it did. It was disappointing. They were offering the bag at a discount, but at the time I didn't think it was worth it. Not sure about the longevity of Rosegold.... But on that same bag the pebbling was still gorgeous.
Don't know if that helps. I still love the Rocco, but I guess some combos of hardware /leather hold up better than others. I haven't had mine long enough to tell you how mine is holding up :)

Hey! I actually decided to sell the bag, as I hardly ever use it anymore since it was really heavy. I did use it nonstop for about 2-3 months in the winter early this year and it's still looking great. Honestly, it looks like a brand-new bag, except the leather has broken in. However, the leather is thick and feels really luxurious. I really, really like the bag and thought I would use it again, but I've bought a few other really light bags so that kind of pushed me to sell. Hope this helps!

Do black Rocco duffels ever go on sale? I've seen special colours marked down. I have plenty of bags - no excuses left but if I could get the black (shrunken leather, very pebbled) with matte black hardware on sale, I would not feel guilty anymore :)

I just bought a black rockie with rose gold hardware from spence.it on sale for €479 so they do go on sale! It's so rare when they do though!

Oooh, that gives me a bit of hope.

Locally, Holt Renfrew has 8 black Rocco's with matte black hardware. They also have the black Rocco with rose gold hardware but I don't know how many (and rose gold costs a bit more).

If they HAD the smaller Rockie with matte black hardware, I would aim for that one next. If you have time, would you post any pics of your new Rockie? :graucho:

Thank you - this is good to know. I'm in Canada so if I import, I have to be prepared for shipping, duty and 2 taxes...it really adds up :sad: which means not much of a difference from just buying it locally.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that, locally, the black Roccos or Rockies COULD go on sale too - like it's not entirely impossible.
