someone found the bag here: http://www.sacsenligne.com/product_...g-black-mini-coco-duffel/cName/alexander-wang - i'm going to go out on a limb here and say they're all fakes ;) especially since they "carry" birkins for less than $2000...(i did a search in the authenticate forum and didn't find any mention of sacs en ligne - so if anyone has any info, i'd appreciate it)

also, i heard from blue bee that they're getting some alexander wang stuff in, don't know if that includes the coco, but it's worth a try to stalk the site, or call the santa barbara store

im worried about fakes too... check out this 'replica' site -- shouldn't this be illegal?:

i don't think i will buy one on ebay -- you can't know for sure -- only from barneys or a reputable website... so i won't be getting any bargains if i ever buy this bag (which i think ROCKS) :( but at least i'll know its the real deal!

^ i just can't help but LAUGH when i see these sites. Honestly, I would never purchase from these places and think that I was getting the real deal. (If i was trying to buy the fake one, then that's a different story).

omg, i hate that people are going to buy that and think it's real...or they'll buy it for $275 and not care if its real or not. i hate that even more...

Grechenscloset, I understand what you saying but don't forget that MANY people (specially in these hard days) can't afford a bag of thousands of dollars. They dream with the bags, as we do, but they simply can't buy them! So there's no other option than buy a fake bag....I don't judge them....

I worry that I am not that designer bag savvy -- and someone could pass off a fake on me and I wouldn't be able to tell :(

I love that you got this bag Chaus, you have one of my fav fashion blogs! Thanks for the modeling pics. I don't know if I'll be able to hold out for my Nov pre-order.

Actually is it just me or does the bottom look a little bit little bullet shells? I think that's what makes the brass edgier and in the end I went with brass over silver. I have this great bullet shell crystal necklace that I think will go perfect! Now if the grey + silver comes out that might be tempting!!

Spielberg1- Sometimes it's difficult for me as well! :yes: , but i was referring to more about online sites vs. someone selling it to me. I just think that people should think twice about the fact that they're supposedly buying the "real deal" for not even 1/2 of the original price.

Also, being in this forum helped me to be very cautious when it comes to making purchases from certain places. I"ve learned a lot from here lol.

I'm thinking about buying this bag (if i can get my hands on one) and i started to worry, what if somebody bought the fake one -- and then RETURNED it to Barneys or Alexander Wang Online -- and then they ended up shipping me the knockoff! pout! so i wrote to them and asked my paranoid question and was relieved by their answer... (below)... i just have to accept the fact that i won't get a 'great deal' on this on ebay and i'm just going to have to suck it up and plunk down the full retail price if i want a "100% for sure authentic" one of these babies! ;)
