WOW, that is a big difference imskyhigh The pics of her when she was new are unreal the bubbling is so perfect! I see exactly what you mean but I'm not sure what it could be from. Maybe Boxer or one of the other longer term AW experts will have more advice for you as to what could be the cause. If Barney's is not helpful I would contact AW directly perhaps.

I think that the leather on this section of the bag is just very poor and not resilient to wear like it should be. I bought it the day before Thanksgiving, and have been using it very conservatively over the past 6 weeks, and even if it did rub against me as I hold it, it should NOT show wear this easily for being used no more than 15 times.
I am going to go to Soho Barney's Co-op tomorrow and discuss with them in person, and then if they won't take care of giving me a new one or a refund, i'll either file a claim with Amex and/or contact AW. Unfortunately when I called AW tonight, they were closed already, but Amex assured me i'd get my money back.
I'll keep you guys posted!

SoHo Barney's is exactly the one that has extra rude SAs. If they are extra rude to you, just go str8 to AW; they'd appreciate your business way more!
I think it's a quality control issue with AW. I've sent back several bags this season with smooth thin leather. The pebbling is so shallow and the leather is thin.

i've been a diehard Balenciaga girl for so long and frankly, got a little bored and appalled by the new and in my opinion inferior quality of their leather/color...
i think this is the beginning of a new addiction...

So... The Soho Barney's Co-Op took back my bag, which was GREAT. They first tried to find me another one somewhere in the country that they could send to me in exchange, but unfortunately they were unable to. Sadly, now it doesn't look like the brick color is still available, so i'll have to find a replacement color

that was super nice of them!!! and then, they even tried to find the replacement! wow! it's sad the replacement is MIA, but maybe they/ you will be able to find it soon! be positive :santawave:

OMG thanks Susan!! The only unfortunate thing is to pay $300+ to now to get the same bag back. I guess its safer to buy from AW, so if I have a further issue, they're directly going to fix it!!!
