CG, I also got a Rocco with the strap. It is comfy to carry. Compare it with GH Part Time, I think their weigh is about the same.

There was another thread discussed the quality of the first version of Rocco and newer Rocco with strap. Ladies here think the later Rocco quality is poorer. This duffle is my first AW so I have no comparison. But since we are from the Bal side, I think we are capable to accept the corner rubbing potentional.

Eilene, I use my Luggage more lately, but I do love the army green color of the Forest, it is a great neutral.
HandbagAngel, I would definitely agree the corners do wear quickly, MUCH more quickly than Balenciaga corners, by far.
I have tons of BBags, which I use regularly, and none show corner wear. I am careful, do not put my bags on the ground, but also I am not overly obsessive.
However, both my Roccos have gotten corner rubs and show light wear, tho I treat them exactly the same as my BBags.
The color on the corners of my Forest has gotten a lighter green, my Luggage is more or less the same color on the corners, but the leather has rubbed.
However, since the piping on the Roccos is thinner than the BBags, and the shape of the bag is different, it does not show unless you really look for it....whereas on BBags the corner rubbing would be much more obvious.
The light wear on the piping does not bother me as I think this style can be distressed and still look great, and these are my 'workhorse' bags so I do not fret about the wear at all.

I just took a closer look at my Baby after all the talk about scuffed piping and noticed that mine is scuffing a bit as well. It hasn't lost any color but I can see some raw spots where there has been rubbing. I'm going to condition it tonight when I get home and see if that helps.

Thank you Leslie for the tips! I've never conditioned my Bal, but I think I am going to condition my Rocco Duffle because it will be my workhorse bag. I'd really hate to see the corners got rubbed through.

I too have a few Balenciagas that I love and can accept corner wear as part of the deal, my only concern is the bluish hue that I keep reading about.

Has anyone ever used Apple Guard on the Rocco's? I live in Seattle (where it rains a lot!) and want to use my Rocco through this Fall & Winter, well year round...I always carry an umbrella so it wont get drenched, but it will get some rain drops on it...

Any experience with what would help to protect the Rocco??
