Hey guys, I joined this forum just to see if anyone could help:
(I've browsed around and couldn't find an answer)

I see that most people have colors transferring onto their bags, but I'm having the opposite problem. I recently received the Rocco in black cut velvet leather. The leather is so gorgeous but the black dye/finish is rubbing off everywhere, I don't know how to get rid of it. It's pretty bad - if I hold it and then wash my hands, the water in the sink is grey. If this could be a long term effect, I'm considering returning it.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! x

i have the same bag, but i dont have this problem. before i wore it out for the first time i sprayed it with leather protector, i dont know if that couldve prevented the colour rubbing off.

A couple of days ago i bought my first Rocco on *bay (used in grey) even though the condition of the bag is very good, i still think it's leather needs a little bit of a clean. I don't know what to use, don't want to ruin the leather, how do you look after your bags ladies? specially those who own a grey one (as it's a light colour)
Thanks

Has anyone had issues with colour transferrring from their Black Rocco to their clothes?

I know usually it's the opposite (colour from clothes to bag), but I carried my new Black Rocco home partially out of its dustbag, and the inside of the shop carrier is covered with black marks from the leather. My worry is that if it can do that to a paper bag, it's going to ruin my clothes :nogood:

Does anyone have experience of colour transfer from Black AWs, and/or can set my mind at rest?

TIA!

I had a similar problem and I never sprayed my rocco with leather protector.
I have the brown pebbled leather rocco and there was one time when mini brown spots appeared on my shirt when it started to rain. After a couple of times I carried my rocco in the rain, no stain appeared.

I was wondering this too! I really want a gray one but if it has denim transfer its almost not worth it!
I have the grey but never had any color transfer onto the bag... it's held up really well despite the lighter color. the only complaint i have is that the shoulder strap is darkening, similar to the bal handles.

I use the Collonil Waterstop Spray on virtually all of my leather/suede bags, shoes and boots and I have never had any problems with this product. It is very versatile.

thank you luv2fly!

used my Collonil spray on my black rocco now and it's fine, maybe even a bit shinier/glossy (in a good way!) :yahoo: didn't affect the colour of zip.etc at all either which I thought it might!

I've not been out in wet weather yet...know I'm going to be worrying though as soon as I see a single drop of rain!

I just wanted to add.....

My mustard and quilted luggage edging were getting scuff marks with careful use, so I coated them with edge kote neutral and it restored the edges.
