Topsy - really I just cannot believe they would kill Eric - he is the core of that show - if they killed him off they would lose so many viewers - it would kill the show.

I looked up True Blood on Facebook and I saw there were so many comments about the possible death of Eric and people did not like that. They would stop watching True Blood if that happens, they would cancel their subscription for HBO and so on....

I do not understand where the belief that Eric will die comes from - AS has said he is in the last episode of the season - he has a 7 year contract - HBO surely knows how important he is to the show and the ratings. The only thing I can imagine is if he has to leave the show to play Tarzan. But even then - HBO would have to release him from his contract and they would not be the first company to wreck a TV stars chances of getting a great film role to save their TV show- think Pierce Brosnan. So it just doesn't make sense to me to consider Eric dying.

I don't think it matters if they have a 7-year contract or not. That's purely in favour of HBO. It's optional. If they decided to kill off his character - he's gone. Simple. Do I think they'll do that? Nope.
