It's fine. I've had to go back and re-read quite a few pages myself simply because of the amount of info/pics we got from TIFF. It's easy to miss things when get a massive influx like this.

Which is good....because I think the drought might almost be upon us.....

I think everyone is preparing for the drought. With nothing new on the horizon at the moment, I think we are in for a long one. Sigh.

Congrats to Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer! I hope Anna and the babies are fine.

Im so glad everything is healthy.

the Red Carpet video

Thanks for posting the videos!

Those interviewers though... I suffered from secondhand embarrassment when the lady on the carpet mentioned the effect of him and a child on women.
But I love how Alex ignored the blonde handler. :D

^^Agree. strongly suggest anyone who has been away for the past few days start about page 343 and move on from there...lots of really, really pretty pics, articles, interviews, Q&As and oh - a twin sighting! :)

Thanks for giving me a starting point for catching up, Squirrel.

I just moved house and going by the speed of our makeshift internet connection, I'll be up to date with this thread when the drought is over.

Finally "What Maisie Knew" has a distributor in North America - it's Millennium Entertainment and the film will be released in spring next year.

Thanks Jooa. Millenium are an interesting company who seem to be making a move up the ladder. Amongst others, their recent acquisitions are "The Paperboy" with NicK, and ZacE, as well as "Little Birds" which has an appearance by KateB, and "Red Lights" which has an all-star cast including Elizabeth Olsen (6 degrees of Askars in HW it seems).

Hopefully the Australian distribution is settled shortly as well.

Lol the reporting was so bad. i wish when people do live red carpets if they could at least research about the actors etc.. they kept going on about season 6.

I thought the TIFF handler was really rude.

Hopefully we wont have to wait too long to see this.

There are too many to thank for all the pictures, posts, videos, everything. You know who you are, and I thank you.

I've been following Lainey these last few days since she's there. Other than random mentions, she hasn't talked about him. Unlike last year, with Alicia V., (btw, thank you for starting that rumour) she's not mentioned him much (well, maybe about his height). I know she's no longer a fan, but she did post this on the visa blog she's doing:

Also, here's a red carpet interview for Disconnect from tonight. Obviously, Skars wasn't there, but he's mentioned several times in the clip. These interviewers hung out with him and took a pic with him this past weekend, (think Santress posted it - ETA, found it: http://santress.tumblr.com/image/31110461689 ) and they mention it at the very end of the clip (while talking w/Paula Patton):

Well, the AV mention was ComicCon, and some of the ComicCon stuff seemed more because she had a crush on AV, not because of Alex. She didn't mention him that much at last year's TIFF, IIRC. She's a fickle one.

I don't want to wait until next spring. (pouts)

That's nothing. I had to wait over a year for the Blue Valentine DVD to be released here after the US got it. I couldn't even watch it in the cinema because it had not a major showing.

Yep, I really like that one too. I've been looking at it for the last day trying to figure out who he reminds me of there because something about the face seems so familiar.

Then I took a look at this old shot. He cheek bones look very Colbert-esque in that pic.

The other star who showed up for the film was none other than….Alexander Skarsgard.

He is one tall drink ‘o water. And very very thin. He was the nice Eric Northman, not the menace. It’s quite a challenge to be photographed next to a 6’5″, reed-thin giant. Photogenics aside, I felt like he might break. And so, despite his on-screen appeal, after many years as a loyal member of Team Eric, I’m back to Bad Bill.

Tku :blushing::smile1: and thanks for all the 'fan pics' - I always love those the most - Happy Skars :D
And yeah, Alex's cheek bones are very 'Colbert-esque', that and the 1500 mtr stare ;)

"..Skarsgard made a surprise appearance at the premiere, watching the film with Aprile, whom he hadn’t seen in many months. The two actors clearly developed a connection both on and off screen and they sat next to each other for the screening, which he described as “watching home movies, only Onata is the size of Godzilla.”

“It’s so wonderful to work with someone like that — once you get over that she’s better than you are,” joked Skarsgard during an interview. The actor was clad in customary black jeans and black T-shirt; Aprile played with a gold balloon nearby.

“She’s not self-conscious, whereas we actors try hard to fake it and she doesn’t even have to try. It’s frustrating. She doesn’t deserve it," he said with a laugh.

Though Skarsgard’s parents -- actor Stellan Skarsgard and mother My Skarsgard -- divorced after 35 years of marriage, it was nothing like what Maisie’s character goes through. Skarsgard is the oldest of eight children, six from his mother, two from Stellan’s current wife Megan Everett. (The younger children are 3 years old, and 2 weeks old.)

“My parents still hang out, are still best friends and still spend Christmas together. Dad likes to cook every night, so Mom will come over and have dinner with Dad and Megan and all the kids,” said Skarsgard. “It’s much less dramatic than ‘What Maisie Knew.’ It wouldn’t be a very good movie.”

In order to travel to the festival, Skarsgard took a quick break from the Vancouver set of Warner Bros.' thriller “Hidden,” where he’s playing another intense role, a character living in a fallout shelter. And his other upcoming movies see him in equally serious mode: He's an ex-Marine with post-traumatic stress disorder in the ensemble drama “Disconnect” and an angry eco-anarchist out to attack corporations in the indie “The East” opposite Ellen Page.

“I need to find something with Danny McBride or Will Ferrell, something like that,” Skarsgard said. “I need a comedy. I need something fun.”

Thanks BC, seems like no accident he's name-dropping McBride re Bullies, maybe we'll hear more soon? I still find it squee-worthy when he's so gracious re Onata and nice to see the family Skars is still so close. life seems good, not a bad place to be at 36.....

And kind of laughed at the whiny face the publicist has in one of Sant's pics given the reality that he'll always do stuff for the fans...
