Who knows if they were having troubles, but there were tweets about seeing Alex and Kate eating dinner the same day as the Puss premiere. She was in Stockholm with him, even if she didn't go to the cinema. Also, Gustaf didn't take his girlfriend, either, so it may have been a cast decision to keep things low key. Or maybe Alex and Gustaf wanted a bit of brother time. Alex didn't stay long at the after party because he'd been up early that same day filming wherever they were based and he had to film early the next day, according some account I read. There was also a tweet later about a girl seeing Alex buy Kate a Hammarby scarf, so they were still going places together at that point. I think the lack of Kate at the Emmy afterparties is more suspicious, because she's gone to all his LA after parties for everything since the Scream awards.

It is from the Puss meet the press type thing. He wore this during the interview where he talked about America's obsession with nudity. Santress posted pics from that interview several pages back on this thread.
It looks like the cast didn't walk the Puss red carpet with their significant others but in this photo, it appears Hanna (dark-haired girl in front of him) was with Gustaf at the after party.

Maybe she asked for one, who knows. Besides, guys and their teams, they may be more than willing to parade around with people wearing the team stuff (not a fan of any team "sport", so no clue about mentality, I tend to stay away from those superfans).
Didn't know about the post puss thing, but TBH, whenever you break it off, or someone breaks it off with you or whatever, it's still stressful. Who knows if he was depressed or trying to figure how to diffuse a possible blowout. Or decompressing from recent stress. Or dealing with the fact that she was still around, packing or something. No clue, but the possibilities are endless.
I just hope the happy Alex returns. I think we can all agree that he has been unhappy and miserable since Twiggy. Hopefully, we will once again get to experience the joyful Alex we all love so much. Here is a good analogy. Kate was like a sliver in Alex. She bored her way into his life. She festered and caused him pain for the last year. She was oozing toxins and soon began to cause an infection. He finally had to remove her before she poisoned him.
It appears the girl who tweeted about serving Twiggy water works at the only certified organic restaurant in Michigan. The restaurant is in Rochester and it's called Mind, Body and Spirit. This is absolutely a restaurant Twiggy would go to.
