She is doing something called The Reasonable Bunch with Ellen Barkin and Demi Moore. There is no mention of what exactly she will be doing in the film. But it is supposed to be a comedy. In which case, all she would need to do is stand there.

She and Ezra Miller are supposedly Ellen Barkin's rambunctious children going to a family wedding where Demi Moore is married to Ellen's ex, Thomas Hayden Church, etc. I saw the AD's tweets, sounds like, as she said "75% of this film is being shot inside one house" and its a first time, 25-year-old director, so I imagine it will be a short shoot...

@HelloCatty This is the Alex part of JJ article

On True Blood this season, Alex had a guy-on-guy scene with fellow vamp Talbot (Theo Alexander). “I’d never kissed a guy before on a show or in a movie, and that was Theo’s first time as well, and we talked about it,” Alex told EW. “It goes from being this romantic, beautiful scene, and they’re getting rough with each other and getting it on — and [then] the turn where Eric just slaughters him. It’s such a rich scene. I basically said, ‘We’ve got to sell it in the beginning. It’s got to be passionate and beautiful because then the payoff is going to be so much more rewarding.’”

It's quite weird IMO to put this in piece about KB leaving LA.

BTW Demi Moore is in Paris shooting movie with Miley Cyrus, according to JJ.

I guess I can see where the oddness comes in. Why even put an interview about Alex in the post about KB that has absolutely nothing to do with him. Even if they wanted to refer to him, why not put the other interview where he talks about drinking like a viking? There is definitely something (as we have said all along) not right about the whole affair.

Then certainly you must know that almost as long as they've been "together" he's been wearing a *****-face that says to the world that he's miserable. No doubt, we all want him to be happy. She doesn't make him happy, never has and never will. He's best rid of her, let him move on and find someone worthy, not the biggest whore in HW. She's brought him down from the first moment they got together. I sincerely hope the man has come to his senses, he's finally rid of her, and the nightmare is over...

I have only been watching Alex's career since Gen Kill but around my house we call him "Sad Giraff" because he has seemed unhappy ever since we have started watching him. In fact the writer of Gen Kill was interviewed about Alex and he said that they teased him about being the typical depressed Swede. I always assumed it was because he was coming off that bad break up (Amelia or Sara - can't remember) and that once he got another girlfriend he would bounce out of it - but he never has. I simply can never remember Alex ever seeming really happy.

I think being kind of emo is just part of his European SADS kind of personality. That's one of the reasons why I don't think that it is all that great that he seems to drink so much. One of the highest rates of alcoholism is from the artic countries which lack light. Heavy drinking is kind of a problem in Sweden as far as I am aware. I deal with the effects of alcoholism on a daily basis in my job and its not all fun and games. Believe me blacking out and not remembering what you do when you are drunk is not funny - its down right scary. In some ways if KB has broken up with Alex and he is still drinking to that extent she may be well rid of him.

So I have to wonder when was Alex really happy. The only times that I can remember seeing him looking really happy is with his male buddies when he is sh*t a**ed drunk - and given that he is 34 now that starts to look less like college fun and games and more like someone who needs to get his act together. In these latest set of interviews he just doesn't seem too good and I dont' think you can blame all of that on KB especially since he didn't sound very happy before her.

I agree with you about the drinking. Having seen the effects that it has on people and the way it affects people, it is scary to think what COULD happen. HW is not the town to be in with addictions of any kind. I hope AS stays around for a long time. I really enjoy his work...and his bod.:p

As usual, JJ has the facts wrong - LOL (the movie) is a remake of a French farce, but it is also shooting around the Detroit suburbs (I only pay attention to this because I spent part of my youth there and my friends have noted they have seen Demi et al around..)

Or I should say at least a portion of it was in Detroit, may have moved on, but that was the part possibly involving Demi...

I think we can all agree his demeanor has substantially changed in the past year...and I do think there is a direct correlation to being with the biggest famewhore in HW. He wants privacy, she wants the limelight. He likes being with friends doing low key things, she calls the paps to get the exposure. The relationship was doomed from the beginning, they want different things out of it. I doubt either of them thought of each other as "this is the one". More than likely she was convenient friend and piece of a**, he was a way for her to f*ck herself relevant.

I just want him to find a nice, normal girl who is not in the biz so he can live that life he wants.

good point = not sure if he's ever had a stable relationship. I think the article which I believe was the Cafe piece from this winter noted that the Gen Kill writer thought Alex was putting it on a little thick about being the lonely single with no love prospects (implying the guy got laid a whole lot more than he let on to publicly), but net/net, it seems that he hasn't had a mature, mutual relationship where they were both in the same place. Interesting to see if this fame can be overcome or if it gets in the way..KB certainly isn't a help to this, but an obstacle!

You're right! Having the kind of relationship I think he has with KB can't be healthy for a person. I think sometimes a person is better off single than in a relationship that takes away from you but doesn't give back much. And getting laid doesn't mean happiness imo.

Thanks Fandora

You're welcome :)

You're right about drinking. From my experience Brits, Russians and Scandinavians drink way too much for their own good. To some of them, the whole point of going out is to get wasted as soon as possible.

I think that Alex sometimes doesn't know when it's right time to stop with the beer so he gets drunk. I know that some think that those GK party pics are cute but TBH I find them embarrassing. That kind of behavior is acceptable for 20 y/o but not for someone of Alex's age.

Alex has really sad eyes so when he doesn't smile he looks gloomy. Also being pale and wearing jeans shirts doesn't help very much bc they make him bland.

The Gen Kill party pics do show Alex in full party mode, but I keep in mind that according to James Ransone as well as Alex, he only went out twice in 7 months, even though all his castmates were out almost every night, partying. The rumour that first went around was that Alex was stuck up and didn't mingle with the others. Ransone said Alex simply was either working, and he was in more scenes than anyone else, because his character interacted with every other group, or he was at the hotel working with his dialect coach.

Being able to focus like this when everyone around you is letting loose doesn't suggest to me Alex has a drinking problem, even if he does let loose when he decides to party, which I think he probably does--Ransone did say the two times Alex went out, he was party animal. It sounds like his way of drinking is pretty common in Sweden. If the drinking starts to crash his relationships or his career, he's got a problem, but I haven't seen anything in his public life that suggest he's anywhere near Kiefer Sutherland, Alec Baldwin or Jonathan Rhys Meyer territory, all of whose drinking has resulted in public incidents. Alex did put his days of blacking out and waking up in the woods in the past tense, not the present. :p

Kit, agree. I think he is concentrated - the Gen Kill shoot was a lot of work for him, so when he actually went out, he let loose. We would love to apply the "blackout" thinking to KB, but short of his behavior at Coachella and WOW, I don't know if it fits. I don't think he has a lot of times where he's not working and among real friends where he can let his proverbial hair down to really be himself and some or many of these times seem a bit overindulged. Hence he gets wrecked and we see the results. Not that surprising, but it isn't everyday. He's definitely not rehab candidacy.
