When we caught up with Skarsgård at HBO's Emmy afterparty on Sunday, we asked him what he thinks about being in a film based on a board game.
"I don't really think about that very much. It's quite different from the board game, obviously," he said with a smile. "Pete is a great guy the director, Peter Berg and I'm just excited to start it, I really am." Skarsgård added that he flies to Hawaii this week to begin production.
Asked whether the film will feature any gratuitous shots of him and his co-stars running around battleships, looking pretty with big guns, Skarsgård was unsure. "I play a commander of one of the destroyers in the Navy, so, that's a big gun," he offered.
The topic of big guns brought up the current 3-D trend will fans get their first three-dimensional look at Skarsgård in the flick? "No," he said. "I don't think so."

Funny, Peter Berg was just featured in last week's "Entourage" episode - which also featured Stellan as a guest star last year, playing the lead character's annoying director - and usually, they play these guys as tools. But I am curious to see how this all pans out. Hopefully not a dud.
I wonder if AS ever played Battleship? I used to as a kid, I admit I cheated at it a lot...!

I know, right?! Heineken is so BLAH. It's a little bit bitter than most other beers and there's just nothing special about it.
Have you noticed that KB always drinks Heineken as well? I wonder if she does it to "mold herself" to whatever Alex likes or if this is her genuine beer of choice? Being whatever he wants might work at first but eventually it always backfires in a relationship. I think both people need to have a sense of who they are if there's any chance of it lasting. And KB doesn't seem to know who she is at all.
I'm a Budweiser kind of girl myself. Sometimes I'll drink Corona with some lime juice squeezed in. I've been meaning to try Stella Artois. I wonder if it's any good? And what's Sam Adams like? I've never tried that one.

Totally agree Aniski. Somebody had to pick up the KB line (mopey and missing her, sniff. NOT). He was not mopey, he was tired. That being said, I think he did a great job of all the interviews he did and was always engaged and didn't seem off his game.
Yes, you are right! And that takes a lot of effort when you are tired...
