Also, OT.....Temple Grandin just made me teary eyed. My son has Asperger's just like her, so I have read everything she's written and watched almost all of her lectures about autism education...so I know she isn't a hugger...and she totally just hugged people when they won.

I think that the reason that the gay thing comes up is because Alex seems to be really happy when he is with his male friends and not very happy when he is with his female friends. I mean think about it, his really good friends are Fares Fares, Bjorne, Michael Mc and a few others that he himself have said that he has had guy crushes on. When he talks about relationships with women he has talked about failed relationships. You have all convinced me that he is dreadfully unhappy with KB and when he was tentatively dating ERW that didn't go anywhere as she went back to MM.

I have voiced on numerous occasions that I find it hard to believe that Alex would maintain a relationship in order to publisize a movie but I am coming around to thinking that he may hang with KB in order to have a steady girlfriend because his PR team know that he needs someone to show the homophobic community out there. I don't know if Alex is gay or not but he sure doesn't seem to be very good with women. He seems way better at having an intimate relationship (maybe not sexual) with men. So if not homosexual then homophilic. Kind of a PR guy's nightmare. The purse may be happy that KB is not there tonight but I bet that his PR people would have preferred that he had a woman on his arm rather than his BFF.

Yeah, every now and then these shows come through with a genuine moment. All of the people who won for that movie seemed really moved by their experience with her - she sounds great.

I naively hope she isn't there...because he broke up with her skanky a$$. She at least attended the globes and I haven't seen her ANYWHERE tonight. Kind of sad to get all dressed up for parties, when your boyfriend wouldn't even be seen with you at the awards.

elis - I am more comfortable with my girlfriends than with guys for the most part. That's just because I share a lot more of myself with them than I do with guys. Maybe that is why he is more comfortable.
At the same time, if he is gay, all I hope is that he is willing to go bisexual :D

agree Elis. I am sure that the flacks were like "you're bringing who? huh?" and probably told him to just go alone if that were the case, but he'll do what he wants. She'll be at the after parties, no doubt. HBO's will be fun tonight, given their wins. I kept thinking tonight, watching a lot of the other "couples" old and new together, that I don't fully understand his approach. Totally easy to bring someone and not be glued to them or have to talk about them if you don't want to. Even Krasinski and Blunt didn't do interviews together. He seems really awkward about it.

My friend's mom is a special ad teacher and she was recently telling me about her. My colleague has a young son recently diagnosed with autism. They are having a tough time and she was giving me suggestions about that. It is awesome to see the problem get more media time.

I'm the exact same way. And agreed about the bisexual comment. ;). Lol
