Ladyisobel, the pics I took are too large in size (the jpeg exceeds the limit for uploading attachments.) So, I will try to compress the photos so that they are "smaller" and can be upoaded.

It's always helpful/interesting to see pics here on the forum but you don't have to post them here if you don't want to, completely your choice. As long as you have them ready for your claim should Ebay want them you should be fine.

Linda

Here are some pictures of the damage (The photos were clear when I emailed them, but after compressing them to make the JPEG smaller, they got blurrier)

I've included a couple of the tear/rip in the strap, an example of the scratched up hardware, the self-made hole in the strap, and the raw rubbed off corner of the bag.

Honestly, does this look like, as the seller claims, "condition is good, just shows normal wrinkles and signs of wear" to you?

Also, I wish I could take a picture of the smelly and sogginess of the bag.

Thanks LindaP, you're such a sweetheart!!!

Having no idea on how to compress JPEG photos, I just downloaded a $35 software to do so.... honestly, with my current state of mind, I feel like I'll do anything to just return this bag and get my money back! :weird:

I have an UPDATE, ladies!
I opened the Ebay dispute and now, a couple hours later, the seller attempts to contact me through her private email account to mine (note: she doesn't like to communicate through ebay messages).

It's the first time she even said she's "sorry" and offered a $225 refund today if I choose to keep the bag. That seems strange because she previously said that she used the money.

Then she says "I apologize and I'm really sorry the money is not available for an immediate refund but I have been doing ebay for many years and have never had to issue a refund before, (or even offer one,) so I wasn't expecting it."

I replied politely that I have tried to contact her a few times in the past regarding this bag and its mispresented condition, but because I have had no luck with hearing back from her I had to opened an Ebay dispute. Then I reiterated that I want to return the bag for a full refund. And then I asked her to please refer to the ebay dispute.

Isn't it fishy that she isn't reponding to through the ebay dispute messages (which is trackable through ebay) and instead is attempting to message me through her private email account? Hmmmmm :thinkin:

Wow, thanks for sharing the pics !
She seems to have a good track record judging by her feedback score, so i would hope she'll sort this ASAP, def send it back for a full refund, it's manky ! she concealed it well in her pics !

I use photobucket to upload pics BTW, it's dead simple ( would need to be for me !)

UPDATE, again:

Seller this time again, chooses to contact me by her outside private email account (not ebay) and for the first time offers a SORTA refund.

She says "I don't want to deal with this anymore than you do. Please send the bag back and I will get your refund as quickly as possible, but it will have to be in a couple payments, inless you want me to wait until I have it all."

What should I do? I want to return the bag for a FULL refund. Not part of it now and then the rest two months later, or whenever she finds it convienent. Because, honestly, based on her past communication (pre-Ebay dispute), she's been very dismissive and accusational and just plain rude. All this makes me weary of trusting her.

Should I reply "Please see ebay dispute. I am filing for a full refund, upon return of the bag"?

What do you ladies think??? :confused1:

YEP, good answer.... tell her AGAIN.

THANKS, Ellie Mae! :flowers: I just followed your advice and replied that simple one liner.
"Please see ebay dispute. I am filing for a full refund, upon return of the bag"

Ladyisobel: Yes yes, manky is exactly what the bag is like! Thanks for that confirmation! :smile1: Poor Balenciaga messenger.... Honestly, I can't believe there are people who treat their bags this way (and then try to disguise it and sell it) :shrugs:

I think you should also message the seller AGAIN via the ebay messaging system.

"Please see ebay dispute. I am filing for a full refund, upon return of the bag. Please do not continue to email me. Please respond to the dispute via ebay messaging."

And whatever you do, DO NOT close this dispute until such time that the entire refund has cleared your PP account.

Keep moving forward with the legitimate dispute process and do not believe her for one second that she will personally refund you. She has already proven to be dishonest. PP will TAKE the money out of her account and put it in a negative balance.....that is her problem for being a liar, not yours.

Do not believe a word she says......only do this through Ebay and PP.

UPDATE:
Ahhh, I'm going to pull my hair out. Look what she says, it's in quotes.

The seller for the first time replied to the ebay dispute.

She states "“There are not rips or tears in the bag, and there wasn't any on the strap before I sent it to her. I personaly think she made one so she could return the bag as she told me she was disappointed in the condition. I offered her a partial refund or a full refund - but told her that a full refund would take a couple weeks since I no longer had the money she paid me. I am willing to give her a refund but it will take longer than 3 days ( most likely 2 weeks) and she must return the bag first. I apologized several times for the delay, but I can not send money I do not have. "

First off, the seller is being dishonest and her reply message is dishonest, too. There is a clear rip/tear in the bag, And yet she expressly stated that there were no rips/tears in the bag. But I have pictures to prove it.
Second, she held out the bag as being in good condition and “just shows normal wrinkles and signs of wear”. This is not true, as the bag has several things wrong with it. First, the bag has a tear in the leather strap that is obvious. Second, the bag reeks and smells of Cologne or something of that sort and the entire bag seems "wet/soggy". Third, is a "handmade" hole on the strap that she made herself, because this hole looks completely uneven and different from the other premade holes on the strap. Forth, the hardware is scratched up. And lastly, the leather corners of the bag are completely rubbed off and raw.
Third, when I’ve attempted to contact the seller in the past, she’s been largely dismissive, non responsive and accusational, let alone apologetic. I ‘ve been polite the entire time and stated that I hope we work this out in an amicable manner. And it’s only now after I open an ebay dispute, that she attempts to be responsive in her communication.
