She's spoken openly about how nervous she was to release her long-awaited follow-up album.
But 27-year-old Adele will be thrilled to learn that 25 has broken records with its initial sales figures, after it's release, four years on from her previous album, 21.
According to figures released by the Official Charts Company, on Friday, the album registered one of the biggest first day sales totals ever in the UK with 300,000 by midnight.
The site adds that only two albums have ever sold more than 500,000 in a week.
Take That’s Progress notched up 518,601 sales in November 2010, and Oasis’s Be Here Now, is the record holder with 695,761 in its first chart week in August 1997.
Official Charts Company chief executive Martin Talbot said: 'With this mammoth first day sales tally, Adele has taken a further step towards greatness.
'Over the next few days we will find out whether it can pass the magic half a million sales mark.'
According to the Guardian, she is predicted to enjoy immense success in the US as well. The site says forecasters predict she will sell at least 2.5million copies in the first week.
Music Business Worldwide write that 25 sold 1.9million copies in just two days, sending it platinum.
The site adds that only boyband N'Sync have achieved opening sales of over two million.
Despite her huge success, Adele remains down-to-earth and fooled her biggest fans by undergoing a facial transformation for a sketch during her BBC special on Friday night.
The singer was unrecognisable once again when she posted a frightfully funny snap toInstagram, wearing a face mask cloth with her hair in rollers.
The Hello singer's face was completely hidden behind the material as she shared her secret beauty routine with her legions of fans.
