Since she reached her hand out for assistance each time she went up the steps, he could have helped her. Didn't say she couldn't walk. But maybe I am wrong. What do I know. (nada)

oh she reached out for help? yikes! i figure he probably didn't want to get in the way of her night...not get in the photos and such

She looks so happy.

Seeing her tonight - how beautiful she looked, how amazing her voice is just made me upset about that dumb comment Karl made. That some misogynist unhappy fashion czar can make some women think they aren't beautiful because they don't fit the fashion stereotype of being very thin is such bull. Why does everyone have to look alike?
He's always shot his mouth but I'm really tired of him getting away with it.

All in all it´s good to remember that the way Karl talks is very very blunt. In every subject. He was overweight once himself, he´s just continuing his very blunt way of speaking in this matter also IMO.

Such a talented and gorgeous young woman, I am so happy for her big win. As for "fat" comments.it just goes to show how shallow some people are. Adele is stunning and her talent is out of control, simply amazing.

You guys do realize that the covers are chosen a few months in advance. Not taking away from the amazing cover, just sayin'...

Oh yeah, I know that. :flowers: One of daughter's favorite movies is the September issue documentary. God knows how often I've seen it, and details like that are well covered. Hubby and I were even discussing this very thing point last night.

But I think that makes it all the more important. It means Wintour wasn't doing it in reaction to Lagerfeld, nor was she doing it as an inside "wink wink joke" with Lagerfeld. To me, the fact that it *wasn't* merely reactionary makes it all the better, especially considering that my personal impression, from the September Issue documentary itself, is that Lagerfeld is a huge suck-up to Wintour. (Yes, I realize that they all are, and the September Issue is quite clear on Wintour's amazing power in the industry. But I'm speaking relative to some of the other designers shown. For example, compare Lagerfeld's interaction with her in that movie, to, say, Stefano Pilati's comeback at YSL. Or even Thakoon's shaky deference.) To me, this Vogue cover then becomes an unplanned, yet serendipitously amazingly well-timed, "Oops, that woman you were kissing up to so blatantly just put your target on the cover of Vogue." How perfect!
