And I love the poster who commented about too fat for WHAT? For Karl's taste is what he meant, and no one cares about that, as I am sure he feels that 99% of the population is worthy only of his contempt for one reason or another.

People who say whatever random thoughts pop into their heads generally don't endear themselves to anyone, no matter how true their statements might be. Someone's GF might be a b*tch, someone's BF might be an a*shole, someone might be an awful cook, someone might be a frightful housekeeper, but do you think that those people really want to hear that from someone else? Oh, but it's true! you can console yourself when that friend never speaks with you again...

Karl Lagerfeld is the fashion world's Prince Phillip. You never know what the old codger is going to say, but be certain it will make headlines.

I agree that Adele is aware she needs to lose a bit of weight, she doesn't strike me as a fool. KL saying that though reeks of judging someone not on their talent, but on their looks. I'm not surprised, however given he's from the world of fashion where all sorts of nasty habits to keep your weight down are deemed acceptable but heaven forbid someone is heavy.

I also find it amusing that the article even mentions Anna Wintour as in contrast to Lagerfeld :laugh: Quote: "Particularly after dealing with Karl Lagerfeld's blithely insensitive comments regarding her appearance earlier this week, Adele's selection by Anna Wintour and her stylish ilk affirms the crooner's place in the exclusive fashion crowd." .... Dare I say, "You go girl!" -- both Anna and Adele! )

You guys do realize that the covers are chosen a few months in advance. Not taking away from the amazing cover, just sayin'...

That said, she looked beautiful tonight. Her makeup artist is a BEAST! Perfect cat eye, loved the lipstick. Just lovely.
