Aaron Tveit's 54 Below Show Will Be Recorded Live by Broadway Records

Broadway Records has announced plans to record "The Radio In My Head," a live solo album based on Aaron Tveit's sold-out 54 Below concerts this May.

"Les Misérables" film star Tveit's six-performance New York City cabaret debut at 54 Below sold out in record time earlier this month. He begins his anticipated engagement there May 3, with performances scheduled through May 18. Broadway Records will capture the concerts live.

"The Radio In My Head: Live At 54 Below" will be released digitally and in-stores Sept. 10. You can pre-order it here. According to album details, "Mixing Broadway with pop, childhood favorites with contemporary sounds, and superstar vocals with charismatic good looks, Tveit's cabaret debut will have them talking for years."

The album will be produced by Michael J. Moritz, Jr. and executive-produced by Grammy nominees Van Dean, Kenny Howard, of The Broadway Consortium, and Ken Mahoney.

"We are thrilled and honored to be working with Aaron on his debut album. We know his engagement at 54 Below will be nothing short of stellar and we are pleased to have this opportunity to preserve his performance for his fans," Broadway Records co-founder Van Dean said in a statement.
Broadway Records has previously released live albums of by Patti LuPone, Norbert Leo Butz, Christiane Noll and Andrea McArdle – all captured at 54 Below.

Tveit most recently starred as Enjolras in the Golden Globe Award-winning film of "Les Misérables." In addition to creating the role of Frank Abagnale, Jr. in the Broadway premiere of Catch Me If You Can, Tveit also originated the role of Gabe in the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal. He also appeared on Broadway in Wicked and Hairspray.
