I'm so excited to share this story with all of you. It's long and I'm excited so bear with me!
Our NYC meet up was this past Tuesday arranged by the lovely VigeeLebrun & Ferrip. I met up with old friends (arabesques, lilneko69, ferrip), celebrated a birthday (ferrip), and met some new friends (hermesnuttynut, kittys, lulilu, lamborghinigirl).
During lunch, I mentioned that I wanted to treat myself to my first new bag for an upcoming big birthday. I wasn't sure how to score the bag I wanted since I shop from different SA's and I haven't really "met a quota" with any of them. Everyone at the table was giving me helpful hints and offered to help in any way possible.
After a scrumptious lunch followed by chocolate molten cake, the crew headed to Hermes Madison. We all met up with our various SA's and engaged in conversation. Lamborghinigirl was helping me pick out a Victoria which was a lovely Turquoise color but not the color I was looking for. My SA told me that they had new stock coming in and if I could come back tomorrow, he may have a bag in the color I was interested in. I was originally fixated on BE (not available) but the lovely tpf'ers reminded me that Anemone was also a great option.
Next day, I head back to the store and am escorted into a room. At this point, I'm confused as to why I'm sitting behind glass doors to be presented with a Victoria. My SA comes out with a big box and proceeds to present me with a 35 Birkin w/GHW!!! I was utterly speechless. After I found my voice, I asked him "Are you sure this is for me?" His reply was that he wanted to surprise me because I come in all the time, am pleasant to everyone, show a genuine interest in the brand and have always asked to see other bags and never a B or a K.
I truly believe that my tpf friends gave me some much needed luck and I would not have been offered the bag had it not been for going to H on that fateful day with them. Without further adieu, here she is......not sure what leather it is, but I'm soooo excited and happy! Sorry for the long post.
