It is literally unbelievable to me that they are asking your for links to the bags. That is such BS. I have spoken to tradesy CSRs personally who have told me NOTHING is ever deleted from their site, and for a company as high tech as they are to even allude to such is practically insulting. I sent them SO MANY "flag" warnings about this seller that either that feature is there for show and completely ignored internally, or they are unwisely assuming that the buyer community does not share information. Their repeated questioning of concerned buyers comes off as a stall tactic. Law suits are not my thing, but it seems to me that this could warrant a class action suit... in my short time on Tradesy I've seen enough counterfeits sold (several of which they were alerted to by me) that their claim of "Authenticity Guaranteed" is misleading if not fraudulent, and the fact that they actively ignore rightfully concerned buyers to favor knowingly ill-gotten commissions puts them right there in cahoots with the counterfeiters themselves. You know if this is happening with Balenciaga, it must also be happening RAMPANTLY with LV, Chanel and others.

Hmmm you look familiar...http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTH-BALENCIAGA-CLASSIC-CITY-ARENA-PAON-BLEU-SHOULDER-SATCHEL-TOTE-/141684240637?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20fd09f0fd

Unreal. What a scammer. My apologies to TPFers who are like, "enough already!" But I just reported another one on Tradesy and sent another email to their customer service team and got ANOTHER indirect and evasive response and no action whatsoever on the fake. I'm still shocked by their utter disregard for their published "zero tolerance" policy on counterfeits and if any of you in the band of loyal Balenciaga fans have an inclination, I encourage you to send Tradesy an email letting them know their practices are not going unnoticed. I had such high hopes for their platform... [sigh].

Got an email from Tradesy that "seller has been removed." If she returns calling herself Jia or something, I give up!!!

Funny that Tradesy replied and gave you a response like you're a real human being. The only response I've ever gotten that wasn't "canned" was when I finally mentioned that selling counterfeits was illegal under Federal code XXX and that knowingly being a conduit for fakes meant they were riding a thin line between legal and criminal enterprise. Even then, it was pretty a pretty underwhelming reply.

Potential fake listed on TRR as a s/s 2005 (A tag) City. The pictures are not complete enough to be absolutely certain, but rivets and bales are red flags IMO. Also don't think the leather looks like 05 leather (owned an 05 black city... very different looking leather).

^^^^^^^^^^REDACTED^^^^^^^I DO NOT THINK ABOVE IS FAKE^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I can no longer edit the above post but upon further research I believe what TRR was calling an 05 was actually an 04, when the rivets were still solid. If this is the case, some very very lucky person picked up an 04 black city in very good shape for $725!

Hey folks! Ok, the question of the authenticity of this bag ^^^^ continues... A helpful TPFer who owns 04 Bals (I don't) has pointed out that is one still looks off to her, rivets still too big. What do you guys think? What has your experience been with TRR? I don't want to bother the authenticators with this, since the photos are incomplete (and the bag is sold so it's a hypothetical exercise anyway), but if any authenticators happen to browse this thread, would be very curious to know what you think. The bale still looks VERY horsey to me, and the leather a bit "not balenciaga". What do you think, friends?

I know this is an old post but I did want to provide some thoughts on the rivets. In 2005 S/S, Bal changed the rivets for the bags. During this season, some of the bags had the unnotched rivets and some had the notched rivets. I don't have any 2005 S/S bags with unnotched rivets, but those on my 2004 Eggplant (F/W) look similar to the rivet in the picture from TRR; they all look slightly bigger and rounder than the notched rivets. I don't see any red flags with this bags from the pictures that were posted on TRR.

I agree :) when I first wrote the post I didn't know that 04 bags didn't have notched rivets... But I think probably somebody got a great deal on an oldie! I did see an obvious fake on TRR yesterday. I called and they took it down immediately. I do think they are putting forth a good effort to be responsive, unlike some other sites I can think of.

Once in a while a great oldie will show up on TRR. Though unfortunately it seems to happen much less frequently. I think the vast majority of Bals that show up on their site are real, but like you, I recall seeing a really bad fake show up a few months ago and was shocked, but they quickly pulled it from the site.
